Antonio Chavez is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-10 182 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends IMG Academy. Shorter athletic build with some compact strength. 6.91 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has bouncy and quick actions and works through the ball very well, nice glove actions, makes accurate throws with some carry across, has the actions to stay in the middle of the field. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a short stride into contact, tight turns, has quick hands and some bat speed, line drive approach with hard contact to all fields. Good student with a commitment to California.
