Kupono Barkdull is a 2027 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Kaneohe, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools. Extra big and strong athletic build, stands out physically. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread and open stance, has a loose and fluid tension free swing with big present impact and power, pull side contact with lift and explosion, impressive hitting tools to further develop. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, fields the ball cleanly out front, soft hands, plays well on the run, can see this working in the outfield as the athleticism and arm strength is there. Took a turn on the mound, works from a high 3/4's arm slot with a big hip turn over the rubber. Topped out at 88 mph and settled quickly into the lower 80's. Filled up the strike zone with three solid pitches, curveball had some downer shape, change up had some sink and run with good arm speed. Good student. Named to the PG Hawaii National Showcase Qualifier Top Prospect List.
