Maximus Roberson is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-10 144 lb. frame from Flanders, NJ who attends Mount Olive. Slender young athletic build with good physical projection remaining. 6.99 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has some bounce to his lower half actions, moves to the ball well, can throw from multiple arm slots, has some developing arm strength with more to come. Right handed hitter, sets up in an open and narrow stance with a simple load and leg raise trigger, line drive middle of the field contact, good swing base to build into as he gets stronger. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a long and loose arm action, good balance and direction down the mound, low 3/4's release slot. Fastball was in the mid 70's and topped out at 78 with big running life, threw his fastball for strikes. Slider had good horizontal tilt, tunneled his pitches well. Has a chance on the mound with more strength. Excellent student.
