Gunner Church is a 2027 SS/2B, OF with a 5-0 112 lb. frame from Cottonwood, CA who attends West Valley. Features a smaller build with some athleticism present. Ran a 7.95 60-yard dash. Worked out both in the outfield and infield. Utilizes a good approach in the outfield with solid actions into the catch point. Caught the ball cleanly out front. Short arm action produces accurate throws on a consistent basis. Displayed a sound approach on the dirt as well. Gets around ground balls well. Solid glove actions work through hops well. Athleticism allowed for decent range in both directions. Short arm action produced accurate throws with some carry across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a low hand setup. Simple stride load transfers weight fairly well. Displayed a linear bat path through the zone with good extension out front. Approach allows for the entire field to be used. More power should come as the frame continues to mature and add strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
