Hayes Wright is a 2030 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Homewood, AL who attends Homewood. Long and lean young build with lots of physical projection remaining. Works exclusively from the stretch with a belt high leg raise and a long and clean arm action, stays on-line well, over the top arm slot with tall and fall lower half actions. Fastball topped out at 75 mph with plenty of velocity projection, threw his fastball for strikes with consistent two-seam sink and run. Curveball had some spin and 1/7 shape along with feel for landing it for strikes, also showed feel for a mid-60's change up. Young starter kit with three pitches and command and projectability. 7.30 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder on defense, similar long and smooth arm action, step by step actions to and through the ball, fielded the ball cleanly. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a deep hand load and a big leg raise timer, tight hands through the zone, mid field to opposite field contact. Excellent student.
