2018 Top Prospects

Michael Hansell  RHP - 2018 - Sammamish, WA
Grand Canyon

Hansell had a very loud weekend overall, showing lots of bat speed and strength when hitting with the ability to drive the ball with serious power to all fields. He showed an 86 mph arm with good athleticism from 1B, then got on the mound and worked up to 88 mph with plane and arm side run when on top, mixing in a solid slider as well.

Davis Miller  RHP - 2018 - San Jose, CA
University of Puget Sound

Miller had a very good all-around event, showing very good hands at the plate along with strength and driving the ball on a hard line to all fields. He's a primary pitcher, and worked up to 85 mph with late life through the zone to go along with some feel for his curveball and solid strikes.

Isaac Kron  OF - 2018 - Englewood, CO
Uncommitted

Kron was consistently pretty solid all the way around, first really opening eyes by throwing 88 mph from the outfield and leading the event in that category by a wide margin. He also showed a quick lefthanded stroke with solid bat speed, resulting in solidly-barreled contact in game action quite often.

Dylan Terrell  RHP - 2018 - Chandler, AZ
Uncommitted

Terrell showed good athleticism on the mound by doing a good job of repeating his delivery, working his fastball up to 82 mph from a quick arm and generating good running life. He also mixed in a solid curveball and a quality changeup, filling up the zone with all three pitches.

Riley Lublin  RHP - 2018 - Yakima, WA
Uncommitted

Lublin showed well on the mound in this event, showing a quick arm that worked with good deception, hiding the ball and allowing his 82 mph fastball velocity to seem that much firmer. He showed good ability to work down in the zone and flashed a changeup as well.

Gavin Martin  OF - 2018 - Farmington, NM
Uncommitted

Martin showed a short, quick stroke when hitting; controlling the barrel well with his hands and able to barrel up pitches all over the strike zone. He has a whole-field approach and very good overall contact skills to go with solid OF actions and an 80 mph arm.
