Batting Practice Highlights
1/6/2018
Gavin Martin (2018 OF, Farmington, NM): Showed a consistently solid and simple middle approach on a line drive plane, getting the barrel out on time and spraying line drive contact to all fields.
Justin Torres (2018 MIF, San Bruno, CA): A switch hitter, Torres showed a pretty smooth stroke from both sides showing quickness in his hands and the ability to work the ball to all fields.
Evan Newham (2018 LHP, Gilbert, AZ): Newham showed good looseness in his hands with a projectable frame, and did a good job getting the head out and controlling the barrel through the zone.
Michael Hansell (2018 RHP, Sammamish, WA): Hansell took a very loud round of BP, swinging the bat with extreme intent to drive the ball into the air. He stays committed to the middle of the field but is more than comfortable pulling the ball, showing legitimate power to the pull side.
Davis Miller (2018 RHP, San Jose, CA): Miller's hands work very well in his swing and he consistently showed the ability to get the barrel moving on a leveraged path on time, driving the ball on a rising line to all fields.
