He mixed in a tight, gyro slider for strikes at times and showed the ability to kill spin on his changeup.

Baxter, a Wake Forest commit impressed with his ability to impact the baseball with authority from both sides of the plate. The switch-hitting middle infielder made tough plays look easy in the infield, while displaying smoothness and fluidity in his actions. Pew is an intriguing uncommitted left-hander with immense physicality and more velocity coming. He ran his fastball up to 85 mph from a tough, lower three-quarters arm slot.
