2027 Top Prospects
Dylan Anderson  OF - 2027 - Pekin, IL

Anderson stood out in every aspect, particularly in live action. The 5-foot-10 right-hander struck out three batters over two innings of work, running his fastball up to 84 mph. The heater earned strike one early and often for Anderson. It showed short arm side run and lived on the outer-half of the zone. He also flashed a sharper slurve with some late depth to it for swings and misses. Anderson offers a lot of upside as an arm from a physicality and velocity standpoint. At the plate, he displayed a very mature swing with intriguing bat speed and good strength at impact. Anderson went 2-for-4 with a pair of loud extra base hits and an RBI. He projects well as a hitter and will continue to add to his power tool as he physically matures. Anderson recorded arm strength up to 82 mph from the outfield and an exit velocity of 78 mph. He also ran a 7.15 sixty-yard dash.

Jackson Knickerbocker  SS - 2027 - Bristol, IL

Knickerbocker put together an efficient inning of work on the mound. The 6-foot-1 right-hander commanded his fastball really well and topped it out at 79 mph. He complimented it with a slider that showed gradual horizontal break. Knickerbocker has intriguing hand speed and projects for more velocity as continues to physically mature. He recorded arm strength up to 76 mph from the infield and an exit velocity of 78 mph.

Ashtyn Seifert  RHP - 2027 - Beaver Dam, WI

Seifert put together one of the more impressive outings on the mound. He punched out seven batters over three innings, pounding the zone early and often with his fastball. The 5-foot-9 right-hander complemented the heater with a bigger curveball that had late bite and produced a few swings and misses. Seifert also flashed a changeup that killed spin and showed some subtle fade. He has a really good feel for his mix and offers tons of physical upside as an arm.

Zachary Westerberg  RHP - 2027 - Frankfort, IL

Westerberg impressed both on the mound and at the plate. The 5-foot-11 right-hander located his cutting fastball well on both the inner- and outer-third of the strike zone. He also landed a 12-6 curveball with late bite for strikes in the latter portion of counts. On the offensive end, Westerberg showcased his nifty feel for the barrel. He commanded it well throughout the zone and produced hard contact on more than one occasion. The 2027 prospect offers intriguing upside both as an arm and as a bat.


2028 Top Prospects
Will Biggs  OF - 2028 - West Des Moines, IA

Biggs performed exceptionally well in every aspect. The 5-foot-10 right-hander put together an efficient outing on the mound and ran his fastball with short arm side run up to 80 mph. He also mixed in a slider with gradual horizontal break later on in counts. He releases the baseball from a powerful low three-quarters slot and projects well as an arm. At the plate, Biggs went 2-for-4 with two well-struck liners to left field. During his BP round, he showcased intriguing barrel skills that translated fairly well in live action. Biggs’ has tons of present bat speed that offers intriguing power potential moving forward. He recorded an exit velocity of 85 mph and arm strength up 83 mph across the diamond. He also ran a 7.33 sixty-yard dash.

Carver Cruse  SS - 2028 - Muscatine, IA

Cruse showed out on both sides of the ball. The 5-foot-8 right-hander ran his lively fastball up to 80 mph in his lone inning of relief work. The heater showed late sink, ducking several barrels early and often in counts. He complimented it with a bigger 12-6 curveball that was mixed in fairly well. At the plate, Cruse utilized a simple, repeatable stroke with present bat speed and strength in the hands. He showcased the ability to carry baseballs from gap to gap for distance. He recorded an exit velocity of 76 mph and arm strength up to 79 mph across the diamond.

Braydon Dutton  C - 2028 - Bondurant, IA

Dutton showcased one of the more consistent barrels, producing several well-struck liners both in batting practice and live action. He utilizes a compact and direct stroke that offers leverage from gap to gap. The 5-foot-9 right-handed hitter has intriguing power potential and projects well as a bat. Dutton recorded an exit velocity of 78 mph. From behind the dish, he recorded arm strength up to 65 mph and a pop time of 2.19.

Brody Schimpf  OF - 2028 - Genesee, WI

Schimpf was consistently on the barrel throughout his BP round and carried it over into live action. The 5-foot-7 right-handed hitter posted an impressive 3-for-5 performance with a double and two runs scored. He showcased his intriguing bat-to-ball skills along with a glimpse of developing power. He projects well as a hitter and will continue to contribute to his power tool as he adds strength to his frame.
