2023 Top Prospects
Cooper Strawn
RHP - 2023 - Farmersville, TX
Weatherford College
It's hard not to like the overall profile that Strawn has and he's certainly established himself as a talent on the national stage. At 6-4/215 he's physical but athletic and it's a full four-pitch mix on the mound as he'll peak in the low-90s, spins 2 breaking balls with spin nearing 3000 on the curveball and will show a changeup, all while commanding the stuff with real intent.
Stephen Sepulveda
RHP - 2023 - El Paso, TX
Baylor
Sepulveda was nothing short of impressive in his 3 inning look on the mound and he's likely one of the top uncommitted arms in the state. He worked in the 89-91 mph range with the fastball throughout the look, hitting 91 many times, and showed tons of life to the pitch while the slider was his go-to for swing-and-miss throwing it in the 75-77 range with hard lateral bite and plenty of components for it to continue to be a wipeout pitch.
Kaleb Higgs
SS - 2023 - Justin, TX
Fort Scott CC
Higgs is a well-rounded prospect who has a good foundation of tools and overall performance in every aspect of his game. He's a 6.8 runner with low-80s arm strength from a couple different positions, showing very well in the infield, while he generates excellent hand and bat speed in the box which gives him some strength off the barrel which showed during game action to go with a sound approach and the ability to elevate.
Levi Risenhoover
OF - 2023 - Grapevine, TX
Tyler Junior College
Risenhoover was one of the best pure athletes at the event with a blazing 6.49 in the 60, which translated to game action, and when you pair it with the arm strength up to 84 mph from the outfield and a swing geared to get the ball in play often with flashes of real jump off the barrel, you've got a player that'll use that speed to impact in a big way.
Garrick Williams Jr
RHP - 2023 - The Woodlands, TX
Uncommitted
Williams is another uncommitted right-hander who stood out at the event using his size to get down the mound well and the stuff to find success. He worked in the 84-87 range for the most part getting hard downhill from a higher release while the breaking ball in the mid-70s has the spin and shape to project good things on it.
Raleigh Clark
LHP - 2023 - Andrews, TX
Uncommitted
Clark looks the part of a projectable arm (6-6/190) and he showed the kind of stuff that can already miss bats even though its far from its peak. Up to 85 from the left side, he missed a ton of bats with his fastball as he hides it well in the back and while the breaking ball is on the softer end, it's got hammer bite at times and he has all the right components to project well on it in the longer term.
Justin Nicks
RHP - 2023 - El Paso, TX
Uncommitted
Nicks has an intriguing combination of athleticism and physical upside which shows on the mound and on the dirt. He was up to 87 with the fastball mixing a nice breaking ball while also turning in a 6.78 sixty which speaks to the athleticism he has.
2024 Top Prospects
Carson Luna
SS - 2024 - Houston, TX
Texas
Luna was advanced across his tools and put on an exciting display of talent. Showing off plenty of athletic upside he posted a 6.77 in the 60 and flashed a sure glove in game play. His bat performed as well, following a solid BP round he found multiple hard barrels in game. Very well-rounded player with plenty left to see from.
Nathan Tobin
OF - 2024 - Haslet, TX
Texas A&M
Tobin was impressive with big athletic upside on display. He ran a 6.51 in the 60 and transfers the speed to the field effectively. He projects very well in the outfield with fluid actions and arm strength present. Really aware at the plate creating quality AB’s with a quick bat flashing great impact to both sides.
Cameron Johnson
RHP - 2024 - Waco, TX
McLennan CC
Johnson was a standout talent on the mound over the weekend. The young 6-5 right-handed pitcher lit up the gun running a quality fastball up to 88 with riding life and showed off advanced command for his four pitch arsenal. Certainly fits the part with plenty of time to fill out as he progresses an already impressive pitchability.
Roman Cariaga
C - 2024 - Midlothian, TX
Navarro College
Cariaga has tremendous upside in his defensive versatility that he held on full display during position workouts. A primary backstop posting a 1.95 pop, tossed 90 across the infield and showed excellent awareness and mobility in the outfield with the strong arm tool transferring. His athleticism on the field pairs well with his solid bat and big impact potential to watch for.
Patrick Niehus
3B - 2024 - Falls Church, VA
Gardner-Webb
Niehus projects very well in the corner infield, solid 6-2 frame with comfort and awareness in his glove. The arm strength plays as well with more to come. Excellent hitter with juice in the swing wasted no time to barrel a homerun in game play with powerful impact potential on display AB to AB.
Mason Hamilton
3B - 2024 - Hurst, TX
Tyler Junior College
Hamilton is a physical profile with a lot of upside in his hit tool to keep tabs on. He found multiple barrels through game play with a multi-hit game that included one to the deepest part of the field. Very under control at the plate with a smooth swing and consistent aggressive approach that gets into his strength effectively with knowledge of the zone.
Nash Sanders
OF - 2024 - Arlington, TX
Uncommitted
Sanders put on an intriguing batting practice round and did not disappoint transferring it to the game. The primary outfield profile is making outstanding athletic strides as well shaving considerable time off his 60 and able to put it to use on both sides of his game.
2025 Top Prospects
Carter Rutenbar
C - 2025 - Midlothian, TX
Arkansas
Rutenbar did a little bit of everything throughout the weekend, including showing off his arm strength as he was 88 from the outfield, 87 in the infield and posted a 78/1.99 from behind the plate. There's lot of quickness in his lefty swing as well as he showed in both BP and live action where he hit a missile home run and consistently found the barrel.
Gabriel Winans
RHP - 2025 - North Richland Hills, TX
Sam Houston State
Winans made a brief, but impressive, appearance on the mound in the final game of the event where he was up to 87 mph with a fast right arm and the ability to turn over a quality changeup with late dive. The arm strength played across the diamond (88 mph) and he showed a long and loose right-handed with comfort finding the barrel.
Brady Janusek
OF - 2025 - Flower Mound, TX
Oklahoma
Janusek showed a complete set of highly intriguing tools, kicking off his performance with a 6.78 in the 60-yard. He was up to 88 mph from the outfield with a clean and low effort operation while his right-handed swing possesses a nice combo of strength and bat speed, already showing the ability to impact the ball to all fields.
John "JJ" Idrogo
OF - 2025 - Tyler, TX
University of Texas at Tyler
Speed is certainly at the forefront of Idrogo's game as he showed with a blazing 6.45 in the 60-yard and he knows how to utilize it in other facets of his game. He shows a short, quick swing which allows him to routinely put the ball in play, creating line drive contact to all parts of the field.
Braxton Van Cleave
OF - 2025 - Arlington, TX
Kentucky
Van Cleave is a long and projectable utility player who showed well this weekend, posting a 6.87 in the 60 and throwing low-80s from a couple of positions. His left-handed swing is clean and he does a nice job of generating torque, showing quickness to his hands and the ability to drive the ball to all parts of the field.
Holland Page
3B - 2025 - Austin, TX
Uncommitted
Page showed some tools in the box throughout his round of BP but took it to the next level in live action, consistently finding the barrel as he showed plenty of hand quickness and ability to match plane through the zone. He also ran a 6.89 60-yard and moved around well in the dirt with agility.
