2022 Top Prospects

Rene Ramirez Jr  SS - 2022 - Miami, FL
Santa Fe College

Ramirez ran a 6.94 60-yard dash and threw 90 mph across the diamond from shortstop with a quick release and sure hands. A switch-hitter in the box with a fluid swing that uses the whole field with the ability to turn on pitches from the left side for pull side extra base impact.

Payton Sanders  RHP - 2022 - Cunningham, TN
South Alabama

Sanders was one of the more electric arms on display through a perfectly executed six punchouts in two innings of work. He is a physical frame with long levers and lot of projection left in him. Running up his fastball to 92 with life, he sat 88-90 with a low-stress delivery and spun a sharp slider with intent generating several swings and miss. Sanders is an uncommitted talent with sure next-level stuff.

Armani Newton  OF - 2022 - Fort Pierce, FL
Florida Gulf Coast

Newton was very physical throughout his showing. He is an extremely athletic 6-2 195 build with advanced raw strength present. His impact potential spoke for itself each at-bat finding the barrel with carry to all fields. The profile fits the part in the outfield as a solid runner transferring to game play effectively.

Eric Swanson  RHP - 2022 - Wheaton, IL
Uncommitted

Swanson punched out seven in his three-inning appearance. Very rhythmic actions on the mound, he tunnels three pitches well with a lot of arm side life filling the zone consistently missing barrels and spun a devastating breaking ball that landed often and went untouched. The 6-foot 175-pound right-hander was up to 85 with run, he has the right pieces coming together and plenty still to come.

Brennan Mercer  SS - 2022 - Bonaire, GA
Georgia Southwestern State

Mercer had a productive two-way performance in game play showing a lot of awareness and athleticism both in the middle infield and on the mound. He displayed a refined toolset and mature feel for the game impacting them in all phases, especially with his five barrels and pure hit tool.

Rolando Aballi  OF - 2022 - Miami, FL
Uncommitted

Aballi showed the ability and athleticism as a two-way player with throws from the outfield at 85 mph while making consistent solid contact in the box as a top-of-the-order bat. He also punched out five over two innings with a fastball/breaking ball combo on the bump and displayed a feel to make in-game adjustments on both sides of the ball.

Nicholas Cabello  RHP - 2022 - Coconut Creek, FL
Dominican College (New York)

Cabello ran the fastball up to 85 mph while keeping hitters off-balance with a big-breaking curveball to the tune of six strikeouts over three innings. He allowed only two hits, both singles, while changing speeds on the curveball and finishing off four of his six strikeouts looking with command of his fastball.

Bryan Jesus Diaz Sarante  SS - 2022 - Suwanee, GA
Uncommitted

Diaz Sarante put on an impressive display of a deep toolset. The athletic 6-1 188-pound shortstop showed outstanding feel making plays from the left side of the infield including versatile arm strength with glove skill ranging with ease to both sides. Collecting four hits in his first game, his loud barrel skills certainly will carry his offensive upside to the next level.

Jaime Gonzalez  RHP - 2022 - Pembroke Pines, FL
Uncommitted

Gonzalez is a well-built right-handed pitcher that commanded the strike zone at a 65% strike rate with a fastball/curveball combo. He moved the fastball around to all four quadrants of the zone and landed an 11/5 curveball for strikes while recording five strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings pitched.

Preston Heben  C - 2022 - Fort Myers, FL
Daytona State College

Heben is athletic backstop with the actions to match. Fitting the profile physically, he is a solid 6-foot 180-pound build with quick movements to build on. He was among the top pop times posting a 1.94 and transferred it to the game making plays with his arm and agility smoothly. Strength over hit at the plate presently with great feel for the barrel projecting his bat well.

2023 Top Prospects

Walker Harris  RHP - 2023 - Milton, GA
Cedarville University

Harris dominated on the bump with five strikeouts over two hitless innings of work. The right-handed submarine pitcher made quick work of his innings on just 32 pitches with a 62% strike rate. Harris worked east and west with an arm-side sinking fastball and sweeping slider to command both sides of the plate while working around an infield error and a softly hit ball to the second baseman as the only two balls put in play.
