2022 Top Prospects

Will Sword  RHP - 2022 - Cary, NC
Princeton

Sword is a versatile athlete with a number of present tools that play well across the diamond; he'll work in the mid to upper-80s on the mound with good life to it, shows a big arm from behind the dish with athleticism to his actions and some jump off the barrel at the plate.

Aaron Kimbel  1B - 2022 - Apex, NC
William Peace University

Kimbel is a very physical left-handed hitting first baseman at 6-3/240 who fields the position well, but showed best with the bat during game action as he was on the barrel often and showed the real ability to impact the ball to either gap.

Jaylend Clemmons  OF - 2022 - Southport, NC
North Carolina A&T

Clemmons was one of the better athletes at the event and the tools are there for intriguing upside; he runs a 6.9 sixty, was clocked up to 86 mph from the outfield and showed an ability to whip the barrel with good bat speed and some jump when he squares it.

Tristan Roney  RHP - 2022 - Clayton, NC

Roney is a very physical 6-7/235 and that strength shows in his numbers across the board; he was clocked up to 87 mph across the infield, worked in the mid-80s on the mound with feel for a solid changeup and has some thump in the bat.

Sean Aronson  C - 2022 - Virginia Beach, VA

Aronson was very impressive in game action as he showed he could the impact the ball with authority. He's strongly built at 6-2/185 and there's an innate feel for the barrel there that makes him a consistent threat for extra bases.

Andres Rivera  3B - 2022 - Silver Spring, MD
Montgomery College-Germantown

Rivera looks the part at 6-2/190 and he's got strength that translates well; he swung the bat well in game action as he showed the ability to match plane with quickness in his hand and good jump off the barrel.

Ryan Jagger Cerrone  2B - 2022 - Seminole, FL

Cerrone showed well during defensive drills with the actions and glove work to stick up the middle while in game he showed the ability to use the whole field with handle of the barrel and some jump either way.


2023 Top Prospects

Will Papciak  3B - 2023 - Greensboro, NC
Davidson

Papciak had a strong event across the board; he showed his athleticism and arm strength in the infield where he was clocked up to 87 mph across, both quickness and strength at the dish during batting practice and game action and then some two-way upside on the mound where he was up to 84 mph with some feel to spin it.

Justin Webb  RHP - 2023 - Greensboro, NC
Catawba Valley CC

Webb is a long and projectable athlete at 6-3/170 who impressed in just a single inning on the mound as he worked the fastball up to 85 mph with some natural cut to it while showing the ability to manipulate the shape and speed of the breaking ball for strikes.

Landon O'Dell  RHP - 2023 - Rougemont, NC
Brunswick CC

O'Dell was solid in his time on the mound as he worked up to 84 mph and showed an ability to spin it while having an athletic delivery that adds to his long-term projection.

Luke Knape  OF - 2023 - Pleasant Garden, NC
Southern Wesleyan University

Knape took a good batting practice showing the ability to impact the ball deep to the pull side and brought it over to game where he was on the barrel consistently with jump off impact.

Myles Odom  SS - 2023 - Pleasant Garden, NC

Odom was solid on the offensive end with maturity to his approach. He used the whole field well in batting practice with a quick and compact stroke which translated well to game action where he jumped on pitches early and often.


2024 Top Prospects

Benjamin Hale  RHP - 2024 - Cedar Bluff, VA

Hale is a primary arm and he showed well on both sides during the games; he was up to 84 mph with the fastball using his long limbs to create downhill action on it and miss a handful of bats while he was on the barrel well himself at the dish.


2025 Top Prospects

Ethan Brittain  SS - 2025 - Wake Forest, NC
Duke

Brittain was a slick defender in the infield showing good lateral range and arm strength up to 82 mph while he also handles the barrel well at the dish and has the ability to use the whole field with a good bit of ease.

Justin Mabe  RHP - 2025 - Lexington, NC
North Carolina

Mabe was one of the smoother young prospects at the event as he took a good outfield round and swung it well in batting practice before taking the mound and working into the low-80s with athleticism, arm speed and feel to spin it with confidence.

Drake Tucker  3B - 2025 - Terrell, NC

Tucker put up some impressive pure numbers during the workouts as he was clocked up to 90 mph on his throws from the outfield and 85 mph across the infield while he has a chance to hit for some power down the line as he matures.

James "Sawyer" Sawyer  RHP - 2025 - Belhaven, NC
East Carolina

Sawyer threw a couple solid innings in the first game of the event and he's got good command of his stuff; he worked up to 82 mph with the fastball and showed three pitches for strikes giving him a starter's foundation.
