2022 Top Prospects

Danny Baez  SS - 2022 - Oviedo, FL
Florida Atlantic/Indian River State College

Baez showcased multiple tools on the weekend as he impressed in a big way. Fluid stroke in games as he recorded a triple and took a solid round of batting practice. Smooth as could be with the glove and threw it 84 mph with accuracy from multiple slots. Speed showing too as he ran a 6.70 second sixty yard dash.

Ryan Wideman  RHP - 2022 - Marietta, GA
Western Kentucky/Georgia Highlands

Wideman shows big time upside on the bump as the 6-foot-4 right-hander was up to 89 mph with good arm side run. Feel for the secondaries present as well during his outing. Proved to have some feel in the box too as he found some barrels at the dish and took a solid round of batting practice.

Eyon Everett  SS - 2022 - Stone Mountain, GA
Abraham Baldwin College

Everett could make the argument that he was one of the most sure handed defenders from the event. Scooped it up with a smoothness about him and made throws from all sorts of angles while hitting the first baseman in the chest every throw. Up to 86 mph across the diamond as the arm plays. Also swung it well in the box as he found barrels during batting practice and recorded a few hits in game.

Barrett Eldridge  1B - 2022 - Atlanta, GA
The Citadel/Georgia Highlands

Eldridge shows big time upside as a two-way guy. Athleticism present as the 6-foot-4 prospect was solid in every aspect of the game. up to 85 mph on the bump with feel for secondaries. Can play anywhere defensively as he threw it 89 mph during both infield and outfield work. Also swung it with intent in the box as he found a barrel in multiple at-bats. Had an exit velocity of 96 mph.

Devin Chandler  SS - 2022 - Ellenwood, GA
Alabama State

Chandler was smooth as could be at shortstop as the defensive guru made every play look easy. Arm strength present as he threw it 82 mph during drills with accuracy. Found barrels in the box and looks to have made strides from a power standpoint as he drove it deep with ease.

Garrett Swan  C - 2022 - Grass Lake, MI
Kalamazoo Valley CC

Swan proved to have the perfect mixture of athleticism and grit as he was a brick wall behind the dish. Great arm strength too as he recorded a pop time of 1.84 seconds. Also swung it with intent in the box as the right-handed stick dropped the barrel on the baseball and got extended in multiple at-bat's.

Austin Breedlove  RHP - 2022 - Ooltewah, TN
Bossier Parish CC

Breedlove was mighty impressive on the bump as he was up to 87 mph and mixed in a pair of secondaries that he landed for strikes. Easy arm stroke with more velocity in the tank down the road. Also proved to have some feel in the outfield during drills as he threw it 87 mph with accuracy.

Andrew Nixon  LHP - 2022 - Buford, GA
Spartanburg Methodist College

Nixon pounded the mitt as the southpaw made easy work out of some solid bats. Fastball up to 85 mph with life out of hand. Nasty slider showing big horizontal movements that he dropped on right-handed hitters back foot. Confident in his arsenal and projects on the hill going forward.

Tyson Roberson  1B - 2022 - Powder Springs, GA
Southern

Roberson shows big time upside as the 6-foot-7 prospect played a solid first base and had big metric numbers. Threw it 89 mph across the infield with accuracy while turning two. Also had an exit velocity of 92 mph. Was also up to 82 mph on the bump and proved he could spin the slider as well.


2023 Top Prospects

Isaac Armstrong  SS - 2023 - Denver, NC
East Carolina

Armstrong by far had the strongest showing from the event. Huge days at the plate as he had three extra-base hits on the weekend. Fluid, easy stroke as he lets the hands do the work. Had an exit velocity of 91 mph. Also proved he could play a reliable shortstop with proper glove work present and a strong arm as he threw it 89 mph during drills. Ran a blazing 6.40 second sixty yard dash as well.

Rives Reynolds  OF - 2023 - Flowood, MS
Mississippi State

Reynolds utilized a beautiful stroke at the dish as the right-hander was short to it, long through and found barrels often. Showed off the speed too with a 6.59 second sixty yard dash. Covered a ton of ground in the outfield and had the arm to go with it as he threw it 88 mph during drills. Extremely well-rounded weekend.

Jason Walk  MIF - 2023 - Acworth, GA
Oklahoma

Walk started the weekend off on a strong note with a quick 6.86 second sixty yard dash. Utilized that speed on the paths too as it seemed he stole every bag when on base. Legit switch hitting abilities at the dish too as he found the barrel and drove it on a line all around the park. Hard nose game and plays with a competitive fire.

Julian Wright  OF - 2023 - Cartersville, GA
Uncommitted

Wright showed off the speed early in the event as he ran a 6.61 second sixty yard dash. Speed translated onto defense as he covered a ton of ground in the outfield. Also threw it 86 mph during drills with accuracy to the bag as he showed off some arm strength. Proved to have some power in the swing as well as he drove it deep to the warning track during batting practice.

Sherman Johnson II  SS - 2023 - Loganville, GA
Dallas Baptist

Johnson II played a fundamentally sound shortstop during the weekend and impressed with his natural instincts. Good runner too with a sub-7.00 second sixty. Strength in the arm too as he threw it 83 mph. Also proved he could leverage the baseball at the dish. Drove it gap to gap on a line.

Hendrix Thomas  RHP - 2023 - Elizabethtown, KY
Uncommitted

Thomas shows big upside on the bump as the right-hander sports an athletic build. Quick arm as he was up to 84 mph with plenty more in the tank. Feel for the secondaries present as he carved up the opposition. Mechanically sound and isn't afraid to pitch backwards as he is fully confident in the arsenal.

AJ DeMastrie  C - 2023 - Woodstock, GA
Dartmouth

DeMastrie was really solid behind the dish as he blocked it up and proved to have some feel for receiving the baseball. Recorded a pop time of 1.97 seconds. Also swung it with intent in the box as he had an exit velocity of 89 mph. Drove it deep to the pull-side with backspin and projects power down the road. Ran well for a catcher too with a sub-7.00 second sixty yard dash.

Logan Taylor  3B - 2023 - Watkinsville, GA
LaGrange College

Taylor is a legit two-way guy who has the potential to play both ways at the next level. On the hill, we saw him up to 85 mph with a shorter arm action as the baseball jumped out of hand. Found a ton of barrels in the box as well. Short, violent stroke as he impacts with authority.

Jared Matey  OF - 2023 - Jacksonville, FL
Uncommitted

Matey utilized his fast twitch type play as he started his event off with a smooth 6.64 second sixty yard dash. Translated into games as he covered a ton of real estate in the outfield. Arm strength present as he threw it 82 mph during drills. Comfortable in the box too as he flashed a table setter type approach. Put it in play and let the speed do the work.


2024 Top Prospects

Eli Stephens  C - 2024 - Warner Robins, GA
Mercer

Stephens was an absolute brick wall behind the dish. Soft hands receiving and buried baseballs right in front of him that were in the dirt. Advanced catch and release skills present as he recorded a pop time of 1.88 seconds. Also hosed a runner at second during game action. The left-handed hitter also ran into a good bit of barrels in the box. Sprayed it around the park on a line and showed total barrel control.

Hudson Brown  OF - 2024 - Cumming, GA
Uncommitted

Brown has legit upside to be one of the top two-way guys in the state for his class. Was up to 82 mph on the hill with a sharp breaking ball as well. Bounced around in the outfield and utilized that same arm strength as he threw it 85 mph during drills. Found a plethora of barrels during the weekend as he capped it off with a towering triple into the left-center gap.

Jack Ryan  1B - 2024 - Peachtree City, GA
Piedmont University

Ryan impressed on the hill as the young right-hander was up to 84 mph and had feel for a pair of secondaries. Pounded the zone and went right after hitters. Was solid at the dish too as he utilized a simple approach. Created lag and got extended through the baseball as he drove it on a line to all fields.
