Dylan Sax  MIF - 2027 - Thousand Oaks, CA

Sax put together one of the stronger overall workouts and gameplay performances of the group. He showed a good feel for moving around the dirt, particularly when working through angles, and while the glove remains a work in progress, he handled his opportunities and showed an 84 arm across. The bat was the standout, as he displayed rhythm, balance and strength throughout BP while repeatedly finding the barrel. That translated directly into gameplay, where he produced multiple loud contacts.

Caleb Koster  RHP - 2027 - San Bernardino, CA

Koster put together one of the better two-way showings of the weekend. He ran a 6.77 60 and showed that athleticism in the outfield, moving well through the baseball before unleashing a whippy 89 arm with accuracy. At the plate, he showed loose, balanced turns with a natural feel for the barrel and a controlled offensive approach. He then jumped on the mound and worked the fastball up to an easy 86 with good life through the zone while mixing in effective secondary offerings.

Aidann Ruiz  SS - 2027 - Whittier, CA

Ruiz was one of the more polished infielders of the group while also showing plenty of offensive impact. His feet work efficiently on the dirt, and he pairs that with sure hands at reception and flashes of quality arm strength, topping at 88. At the plate, there was noticeable strength in both the hands and lower half, leading to hard contact throughout BP. He carried that over into gameplay as well, producing a loud extra-base-hit barrel.


2028 Top Prospects
Marcus Novello  SS - 2028 - Temecula, CA

Novello showed quality actions on the dirt, working low with solid footwork and reliable hands. The arm strength is average, but he consistently delivered accurate throws across the diamond. He also ran a quality 7.17 60. Offensively, he showed a strong stroke with good feel for the barrel and the ability to stay inside the baseball, with those traits carrying over into game action. He also took the mound and ran the fastball into the low 80s while showing feel for a quality upper-60s breaking ball with some spin upside.

Zak Flinn  C - 2028 - San Bernardino, CA

Flinn was one of the more impressive catchers in the group, pairing athleticism with a quality defensive showing. He ran a 6.95 60 and showed a quick exchange during throwdowns, with active feet that gained ground efficiently and stayed on line. The arm strength stood out as well, topping at 81 with accuracy to second. Offensively, he showed a compact stroke that expands through the zone with good bat speed and strength, producing several barrels in the upper-90s EV range.

Jake Tittle  C - 2028 - Hawthorne, CA

Tittle put together a quality overall workout, showing developing infield skills while also displaying some promising traits behind the plate. He gains ground efficiently with his footwork and was able to consistently put throws on the bag, with flashes of above-average arm strength. At the plate, he showed loose hands and a flat path through the zone, with a combination of bat speed and strength that translated into game action.


2029 Top Prospects
Austin Tokoroyama  OF - 2029 - Carlsbad, CA

Tokoyorama was one of the better athletes in the group, running a 6.90 60 that translated well to his work in the outfield. He moves with purpose through the baseball, building momentum into the catch before unleashing a quality arm that topped at 83. At the plate, he showed the ability to manipulate the barrel and find contact from both sides while displaying noticeable bat speed. The offensive tools carried over into game action, where he continued to make quality contact.

Andres Valencia  OF - 2029 - Laguna Niguel, CA

Valencia looked the part in the outfield, combining athleticism with sound fundamentals and a 6.89 60. He is a controlled mover who gets to the baseball cleanly and fields out front, then produced accurate one-hop throws to the bag with an 81 arm. At the plate, he showed an aggressive approach to attacking the ball out front and consistently found the barrel in BP. There was some real intent behind the swing, with quick, forceful turns that produced hard contact.

Wyatt Parent  C - 2029 - Medford, OR

Parent showed fundamentally sound skills at both first base and behind the plate. He has quality hands at first with the ability to make clean, accurate feeds, while his work behind the dish featured a good exchange and consistent direction on throwdowns. At the plate, he features a compact, strong stroke with a natural ability to work through the middle of the field.
