2030 Top Prospects
Brooks Minarik  SS - 2030 - Fort Mill, SC

Showed the athleticism all over the diamond. The SS has active feet and circled the backhand well with a strong arm recording throws up to 85. In the outfielder showed the arm strength recording throws up to 87. RHP ran the fastball up to 85 with arm-side run. Paired it with a curveball with good spin metrics, 2440 RPM and a change-up from the same arm action with good fade and drop. The RHH showed good bat speed and some juice, collecting two triples during game action on Sunday off the left and right field wall.

Patrick Melton  1B - 2030 - West End, NC

Showed off the power upside recording an event best exit velocity of 87. The RHH showed good bat/hand speed with carry to both gaps from a slightly uphill bat plane. RHP ran the fastball up to 83 that he located well down in the zone and paired it with a splitter that he killed spin on well with some vertical drop.

Hunter Hager  C - 2030 - Charlotte, NC

Impressed all over the field. The catcher gained ground well and used a from ear release to post a 2.16 pop time. RHP ran the fastball up to 80 with arm-side run and some jump out of the hand. Paired it with a curveball with sharper, bigger 11-5 shape and life. SHH with lift in the swing and a pull-side approach from both sides of the plate.

Leonardo Severs  C - 2030 - Raleigh, NC

Showed a good all-around game, the catcher showed a clean transfer at the mid-line and stronger throws, recording a 2.19 pop time. The RHP also ran the fastball up to 80 with life and carry up in the zone and paired it with a curveball with shorter 12-6 shape and solid depth. RHH with good bat speed and some impact and juice off the barrel with carry to the middle-of-the-field.

Ethan Derosia  OF - 2030 - Greer, SC

The outfielder showed a stronger arm and got the ball out well with some carry on his throws. The RHP ran the fastball up to 77 with some life to it and paired it with a curveball that had some 12-6 shape. LHH created leverage from the lower half and worked the middle-of-the-field with some solid line drives.

Brycen Dollins  OF - 2030 - Mount Vernon, KY

Showed the upside on the mound running the fastball up to 75 and paired it with a curveball with solid 12-6 shape and depth. The RHH created separation and used a flatter bat plane to drive solid line drives to the middle-of-the-field.

Landry Evans  RHP - 2030 - Rutherfordton, NC

Impressed on the mound running the fastball up to 76 with two-seam action especially up in the zone. Paired it with a curveball that had more 12-6 shape and vertical depth. On the dirt, shows the glove early and had some zip on his throws, recording throws up to 78. LHH lifted well in the swing and peppered line drives to the pull-side and middle-of-the-field with some bat speed.

Lucas Frost  RHP - 2030 - London, KY

Showed a solid all-around game. The RHP ran the fastball up to 78 with good carry up in the zone. Defensively the third baseman has a clean funnel and gets the ball out quick well, recording throws up to 78. RHH created some leverage and lift with louder impact to the pull-side.


2031 Top Prospects
Bryson Magaha  C - 2031 - Clemmons, NC

Impressed on both sides of the ball. The catcher had some quickness out of the crouch and got the ball out quick with accurate throws, posting a 2.13 pop time. LHH with some bat speed and juice. Uses a slightly uphill bat plane and used the pull-side to the middle-of-the-field well during his round.
