2030 Top Prospects
Tristan Gerken  SS - 2030 - Orange, CA

Gerken proved to be one of the top INFs in the Gateway group. Ran a 7.04 60-yard dash. Showed strong defensive actions across the board, from footwork to glovework to arm strength. At the plate, produced consistent quality swings in both BP and gameplay, featuring a rhythmic stroke with quickness and present bat speed. Displays strong barrel skills with the ability to backspin balls through the middle.

Wyatt Timboe  C - 2030 - Calimesa, CA

Timboe was one of the more physical prospects in the Gateway group. Showed strong present catch/throw ability behind the plate, with quick lower-half actions out of the crouch, compact exchanges, and a quality arm (75/1.92). At the plate, showed off his strength with a connected LH stroke that turns hard and fast while maintaining balance, producing hard contact in both BP and gameplay.

Bronson Beck  1B - 2030 - Dana Point, CA

Beck showed well at multiple positions, took strong swings, and pitched effectively. Some developing quickness and athleticism, but good fundamentals across the OF, INF, and 1B. Swung with consistent damage intent, producing solid impact through the middle of the field. Also showed presence on the mound, running his heater up to 81.

Nathaniel Wolpoff  3B - 2030 - San Marcos, CA

Wolpoff showed well both at the plate and on the mound. Offensively, he turns the barrel well on an uphill path with present quickness and strength. The swing has easy rhythm with strong barrel feel. On the mound, worked from more of a drop-and-drive operation with good arm speed, running his fastball up to 81 and mixing in a sharp low-70s SL that generated some whiffs.

Julius Berrios  RHP - 2030 - Chula Vista, CA

Berrios was one of the stronger two-way standouts of the Gateway group. More of a corner INF profile, but showed solid actions with good movement through the baseball, clean glovework, and strong throws and feeds. At the plate, it’s a compact stroke that stays inside the ball and works through it well, with flashes of strength. On the mound, operated from a well-synced drop-and-drive delivery with a clean arm action, running his heater into the low 80s while mixing in a solid breaker.

Jacob Miller  RHP - 2030 - Temecula, CA

Miller proved to be one of the better RHPs in the group. Showed a smooth, simple delivery that he repeated well. Features a short, clean, quick arm action that helped him run his heater into the low 80s (T82). Also mixed in a strong 11–5 breaking ball that he showed feel to land in-zone and expand for chase.

Eli Lee  RHP - 2030 - West Covina, CA

Lee showed solid skills during his position player workout but stood out most on the mound. Displayed an athletic delivery from a traditional windup that he repeated well. Worked online down the mound with a clean arm action, running his heater up to 78 while mixing in two quality secondaries.

Matthew Chavez  3B - 2030 - Chula Vista, CA

Chavez showed skills at multiple positions, a strong present offensive profile, and solid ability on the mound. Defensively, showed a clear understanding of how to move through the baseball, getting off quick, strong throws (83 mph from the OF). At the plate, impacted balls to the big part of the field with a swing that stays behind the ball and maintains balance. On the mound, showed a heavy fastball in the low 80s (T81) and a strong 12–6 breaker that he was able to command and execute.

James Eligio  SS - 2030 - Stevenson Ranch, CA

Eligio displayed quality actions in the INF, especially from a footwork and quick-release standpoint, with developing glovework that showed well to the backhand side. Put together an impressive BP as well, showing strong barrel accuracy with the ability to lift and backspin to the pull side. Also turned in a positive look on the mound.

Ethan Chan  SS - 2030 - Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

Chan was very impressive throughout the weekend. Ran one of the faster 60s at 7.06. INF actions are still developing from a footwork standpoint, but he showed strong glove skills and above-average arm strength (81 mph). Put together a strong BP, showing quick hands and working the barrel on an uphill path, producing consistent hard contact through the middle.

Clay Kinnick  C - 2030 - Fontana, CA

Kinnick was solid defensively at multiple positions and showed a strong LH swing. Moved well to and through the baseball in the OF and demonstrated good fundamentals in his catch/throw ability. At the plate, showed easy, balanced turns with a left-handed stroke that produced quality line-drive contact to the pull side.

Ethan Edmundson  LHP - 2030 - Anaheim, CA

Edmundson was solid across all aspects of his workout. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Showed an aggressive approach in the OF, working through the ball well and getting off accurate throws, while also looking comfortable at 1B. At the plate, showed tight turns of the barrel, producing consistent middle-of-the-field contact. Flashed some ability on the mound as well, locating a mid-70s fastball and mixing in a solid CH.

Bradley Shores  C - 2030 - Murrieta, CA

Shores was another strong two-way performer last weekend. Showed fundamental actions in the OF and solid catch/throw ability behind the plate (2.08 pop). The swing is still developing, but he flashed quickness to the hands and barrel, producing a few hard pull-side liners. On the mound, worked from a compact delivery with projectable arm speed, running his heater into the upper 70s (T80) while mixing in a quality breaker

Harlem Turrentine  RHP - 2030 - Claremont, CA

Turrentine was strong across the board. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Showed strong glove skills with an above-average arm (82 mph) in the INF. Produced some of the better bat speed in the group, leading to consistent hard contact in BP. Also showed real upside on the mound, running his heater up to 82 and flashing advanced spin traits on a low-70s breaker (~2700 rpm).

Aiden McErlane  LHP - 2030 - Eagle, ID

McErlane was one of the top arms of the Gateway group. Showed fundamentally sound, balanced mechanics from the side that he repeated well, along with strong confidence on the mound. Pounded the zone with an upper-70s fastball (T81) that featured some natural run, and also stood out with a quality 12–6 breaker.

Parker Toth  SS - 2030 - Highland, CA

Toth showed solid skills in the INF and at the plate. Displayed sure hands and worked quickly to release, getting off accurate throws. Produced consistent middle-of-the-field contact in BP with a balanced stroke. Also showed well on the mound, moving efficiently down the slope while running his fastball into the mid-70s and mixing in a developing breaking ball.

Lucca Giano  SS - 2030 - Brea, CA

Giano was an impressive arm to watch last weekend. Showed a solid delivery with clean, efficient movement down the mound. Present arm quickness allowed him to run his fastball into the low 80s (T81) with some ride up in the zone, while also showing the ability to land two quality breaking balls.


2031 Top Prospects
Lamar Williams  1B - 2031 - Burbank, CA

Williams was a very impressive follow all weekend. Showed strong defensive ability in both the OF and at 1B, moving well through the baseball with quick releases and accurate throws, while also handling the bag well. Offensively, features a clean LH stroke with present quickness and good barrel feel, producing consistent line drives through the middle that translated into gameplay. On the mound, showed a controlled, repeatable operation with a loose, clean arm, running his heater into the upper 70s while pairing it with a strong CH and CB, both showing considerable upside.

Adrian Marquez  SS - 2031 - La Puente, CA

Marquez showed quality skills for a ‘31. Displayed fundamental glove actions with the ability to move laterally on the dirt. Offensively, there isn’t a ton of bat speed yet, but he showed decent barrel feel within a balanced stroke. Also showed some ability on the mound, with a clean arm action and a fastball into the upper 70s.
