Aimone is still only 13 years old but stood out with his strong and projectable 6-1/160 build and especially for his left-handed swing and bat speed. He has a very comfortable approach with excellent mechanics for developing in-game power and barrel accuracy.
Roddy stood out defensively at catcher with very good quickness and athleticism for his age and was able to show all his tools at the other positions as well. Roddy is also a high energy player who looks like he really enjoys playing the game.
What Bean lacks in size at 5-4/120 he more than makes up in baseball skills and athleticism. He really moves well in the infield with natural and aggressive actions and showed exceptional hands at times. Bean also took some of the best swings from the event in the games.
Hansen has strength in his 5-11/160 frame and that strength translates very well into right handed bat speed. He hits from a confident and casual stance with an aggressive move into contact and a loose and extended swing.
Blackard showed very nice defensive skills behind the plate and has very advanced actions for his age. He has the added advantage of being a left-handed hitting catcher and has the same type of strong fundamentals and actions in the batter's box.
Coleman throws from a low 3/4's to almost sidearm release point and showed outstanding feel for both a fastball that touched 77 mph with lots of life and for a 66 mph change that had hard diving action at times. He could probably get some high school outs right now.
Rosko has a strong 5-10/165 build for his age and is a solid overall athlete. He showed some right handed power at the plate, moved well in the infield drills and threw 76 mph off the mound with some feel for the strike zone.
Smith really stands out with his extra big and strong 6-1/170 build for a 13 year old. He has very advanced tools for his age, with a strong throwing arm that was 81 from the outfield and 74 from behind the plate. Smith's best present tool was his bat speed, as he simply over powered baseballs at the plate.
Gwynn has some bat speed for a seventh grader to go with a quiet and simple swing that produced lots of square hard contact. He hit with impressive confidence in the box and had "hitterish" actions that translated to quality at-bats.
Russ is still developing athletically with a slender 5-10/135 build but he showed lots of promise as a right handed hitter. He stays balanced and directional well at the plate and made solid middle of the field line drive contact while showing strength in his hands.
Oh has some growing to do from his 5-3/115 build but he has impressive baseball skills and athleticism already. He's polished in the field and looks like he'll make all the plays and behind and through the ball very well at the plate, with consistent solid barrel contact.
