2029 Top Prospects
Christian Korba  3B - 2029 - Roseburg, OR

Korba was another well rounded performer throughout the showcase on Sunday. He ran the best 40-yd dash (5.00), had the highest exit velocity off the tee (88 mph) and the 2nd best OF velo (80 mph). In BP he showed decent quickness to the hands that supplied some above avg. bat speed for his level while also showing decent feel for the barrel. Flashed some potential on the mound as well. Struggled with his command/control but ran it up to 77 with the fastball and mixed in a few sharp low 60 breakers.

Ryder Cate  RHP - 2029 - Puyallup, WA

Our staff thought Cate showed well in many ways. Strong actions in the OF where he worked with an aggressive approach to the baseball, fielded out front, got to release quick and got off accurate downhill throws. At the plate, it’s a smooth and simple LH stroke that showed easy balance and produced plenty of LDs during his round. Also jumped on the mound where he was up to 74 with the fastball with a 10-4 breaker that flashed decent potential.

Jacksen Dunn  C - 2029 - Sandy, OR

Dunn put together one of the best BP rounds of the day and flashed some catch/throw ability as well. Noticeable physicality and strength in the box that translated to some bat speed and impact. Swing works with easy rhythm which allows for good timing and barrel feel. Behind the plate, he's developing footwork but showed clean exchanges and an accurate arm which helped him pop an event best 2.19.

Dante Ang  RHP - 2029 - Beaverton, OR

Ang found himself near the top of several leaderboards this past weekend. He ran the 2nd best 40-yd dash (5.05) and was the hardest thrower from both the INF (81 mph) and OF (83 mph). At the plate, he swung it with good intent and flashed some quality bat speed. He also jumped on the mound, and showed a balanced delivery where he ran his fastball up to 77 and mixed in a strong 12-6 CB and depthy CH.

Beck Robertson  C - 2029 - Redmond, WA

Robertson showed good flashes both defensively and with the bat. Behind the plate, he had an event best 2.19 pop time showing quick exchanges while keeping a shorter arm action that helped him get rid of it quick. During BP, he produced hard contact a majority of his round. Swung it with intent working the barrel on a level path with a more pullside oriented approach.

Dylan Gregory  2B - 2029 - Roseburg, OR

Gregory found himself in the T5 with both his 40-yd dash time (5.14) and his INF velo (74). However, Gregory stood out with his bat the most where he flashed quality strength and bat speed. Swung it with good intent, throwing the barrel on a direct/level path which produced plenty of up the middle LDs during his BP round.

Luke Plyler  1B - 2029 - Orting, WA

Plyler flashed quality skill on the mound, at the plate and at first base. Worked fast and pounded the strike zone with a low 70s fastball while also mixing in an effective 1-7 breaker. At the plate it’s a simple LH stroke where the barrel worked on an uphill path and produced decent barrels through the middle of the field. Then defensively, he showed strong glove work and got off accurate DP feeds.

Carter Middleton  OF - 2029 - Langley, BC CAN

Middleton stood out with his operation and pitchability on Sunday. Worked from the stretch and is a clean mover down the mound. Threw strikes with the fastball but the CH showed strong potential with its late tumbling action. He also mixed in an effective and depthy 12-6 breaker.

2030 Top Prospects
Kayden Lucas  SS - 2030 - Winter Haven, FL

Lucas was ultra impressive in all facets this past weekend. Showed quality athleticism with his defensive actions where he worked through the baseball well, had clean glovework, and made accurate throws from different angles. At the plate, he lived on the barrel showing a swing that worked the bat on an uphill path through with above avg. bat speed for his level. On the mound, showed a balanced/athletic operation where he ran his fastball up to 78 that had some natural running action and mixed in a quality slurvy breaking ball.

Graham Bugbee  SS - 2030 - Seattle, WA

Bugbee was solid during his position player workout but stood out on the mound. Showed an athletic, balanced and clean operation which he repeated well. Used a longer fluid arm action that ran his fastball into the low 70s, T74 and mixed in an effective 11-5 breaker with quality depth.

Nixon Sharp  3B - 2030 - Langley, BC CAN

Sharp was one of the better arms we took in this past weekend. Pounded the strike zone throughout his outing. Worked exclusively from the stretch and used a shorter arm action which allowed him to repeat well. Used a three pitch mix where he ran his fastball up to 73, showed good 11-5 shape to his breaker, and maintained arm speed on his CH.
