Huet showed off a smooth and repeatable stroke during his round of batting practice, driving baseballs to different parts of the field with ease. The righty hitter has good strength in the hands along with the ability to generate lift at the point of contact. He posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. Huet also impressed on the defensive side of the ball, demonstrating sound footwork and accuracy both in the outfield and infield.
Ellis turned in a stellar performance on the mound, dominating opposing hitters with his running fastball which ultimately peaked at 85 mph. He also showed feel for spinning his two-plane breaking ball which had some teeth to it with spin up to 2245 rpm. At the plate, Ellis turned in a consistent round of batting practice, impacting baseballs with easy strength and carry to the pull-side. The righty hitter posted an exit velocity of 77 mph.
