5-Green vs. 6-White game notes

8/3/2024

Green bats set the tone with four runs in the first two innings, led by sparkplug Donovan Craig (2028 SS, Munster, IN), who singled, doubled, stole a base and scored a pair of runs. Craig also flashed some nice skills in the middle infield.

Paxton Hagan (2027 MIF, Bardstown, KY) added a double and Drew Dalton (2028 SS, Camby, IN) had a pair of extra-base hits, including a legit inside the park home run to right centerfield. Ryan Mendrysa (2028 SS, Ashburn, VA) was also impressive at the plate, smashing a double and lining out to right-centerfield.

Team White had some good swings on the day as well, just less to show for it. Ben Finney (2028 OF, Kouts, IN)- who showed plus actions at shortstop- looked good in his at-bats and ran the bases aggressively. Foster Owens (2028 OF, Elizabethtown, KY) also chipped in a couple hits, showcasing a good-looking left-handed swing.

On the mound, Noah Helton (2028 LHP, Norwalk, OH) allowed a single unearned run in his three innings, striking out four and topping out at 79. Josh Crowell (2028 RHP, Monticello, IN) was also extremely effective, sailing through his three shutout innings and allowing a single hit in just 37 pitches.
