1-Grey vs 2-Maroon Game Highlights

6/2/2024

Loagan Stickler (2025 3B, Lawrenceville, PA) got his day started early, smoking a triple to dead CF in his first opportunity flashing effortless bat speed with clear jump off the barrel. He then showcased the two-way potential on the mound, tossing two no-hit innings while racking up five strikeouts. The athletic 6-foot-2, 190 pound prospect has displayed tools on both ends this weekend with multiple ways to provide value for his side.

Carter Lenz (2025 RHP, Rockingham, VA) worked a three pitch mix to his advantage during a three inning appearance on the mound, as the projectable 6-foot-2, 170 pound righty ultimately topped out at 88 mph with easy life out of the hand. The ’25 prospect located both a SL and CH for strikes with room for additional velocity potential.

Cooper Gaskins (2026 C, Ridgeville, SC) was a key defensive piece for Team Maroon, making multiple difficult plays at 3B with relative ease. He flashed the ability to change slots on the run with present range to both sides.

Peyton Kozink (2026 RHP, Durham, NC) got a hanging breaker and certainly didn’t miss it in the top of the 5th inning, rocketing a bomb over the LF fence to extend the lead for Maroon. The 6-foot-2, 175 pound righty shifted the weight effectively through impact with clear power production in the stroke. The primary RHP also topped out at 84 mph on the mound with present swing and miss stuff in the arsenal.

David Jones (2026 1B, Dillwyn, VA) picked up multiple hits on the day, showcasing a sound pull side approach with intent to get the barrel out in front and produce backspin on the baseball.

Derek Riddick Jr (2026 OF, Washington, DC) was another name who found himself in the multi-hit category, squaring up an RBI double in the top of the 6th with solid barrel control and bat speed displayed.

1-Grey vs 2-Maroon Game Highlights

6/1/2024

Nick Newburn (2025 RHP, McLean, VA) was sharp to open the game on the bump, chucking two clean innings with plenty of intriguing stuff present in the arsenal. The 6-foot-6, 200 pound Penn commit ran his FB up to 90 mph with good ride through the zone, sequencing both a SL and CH that were effective at generating swing and miss.

Loagan Stickler (2025 3B, Lawrenceville, PA) wasted no time doing damage in his first plate appearance, as the 6-foot-2, 190 pound righty found some room down the LF line for a standup double.

Parker Deaner (2027 C, Lynchburg, VA) made a nice diving play at 1B to end the top of the 5th inning, fully extending towards the line with evident glove control and first step quickness.

Jason Canady (2026 RHP, Midlothian, VA) racked up five strikeouts in his three inning appearance on the mound, running the FB up to 87 mph with plenty of horizontal tilt on the SL up to 2500 rpm for swing and miss. The projectable 6-foot, 155 pound prospect displayed clean simple movements in the operation and attacked hitters aggressively in the zone to generate outs efficiently.

Christopher Canady (2026 RHP, Midlothian, VA) was yet another arm who dominated hitters on the day, reaching back for 85 mph with the ability to manipulate shape/spin in the arsenal for weak contact + swing and miss. He repeated the release point well with a high velocity ceiling for the future.

Batting Practice Highlights

6/1/2024

Thomas Soules (2026 SS, Clifton, VA) repeated a pull side approach well during his round, consistently showing the carry production from a compact, slightly open base. The strong yet still projectable 6-foot-2, 191 pound righty displayed a simple stride into impact with plenty of offensive tools to build on for the future.

Patrick Brown (2026 OF, Jarratt, VA) flashed the power potential to end his round, rocketing a ball over the LCF fence with plenty of evident hand strength displayed. He created easy carry on the baseball when timed up with his best impact coming when he successfully got the barrel out in front.

Loagan Stickler (2025 3B, Lawrenceville, PA) put on one of the more dangerous displays of power production overall, leaving the facility multiple times with loud barrels from gap to gap throughout his round. The 6-foot-2, 190 pound prospect generated evident hip torque and weight shift through impact with traits that should translate directly in game.

Peyton Kozink (2026 RHP, Durham, NC) put an aggressive stroke on display that yielded tons of solid impact from gap to gap, starting from a wider base with a slight hover trigger to do damage consistently. He created backspin on the baseball and flashed both contact and power potential with two bombs during his round.

Cooper Gaskins (2026 C, Ridgeville, SC) did a nice job of keeping the hands inside the baseball with line drive tendencies displayed in the stroke. He was relaxed and consistent throughout his round and created leverage out in front for impact to all parts of the field.

Carter Lenz (2025 RHP, Rockingham, VA) roped a baseball off the opposite field fence to highlight his round, as the 6-foot-2, 170 pound prospect showcased true jump off the barrel on numerous occasions.

Brayden Mann (2025 C, Williamsburg, VA) flashed big time juice to the pull side of the field late in his round, using the full potential of the 6-foot-4, 200 pound frame well with evident hip torque displayed. Mann generated effortless carry on the baseball with power that will only continue to see prominence in the future.
