3 - Gold vs. 4 - Navy Game Highlights

2/24/2024

Jackson Boob (2028 RHP, Hollidaysburg, PA) was productive on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The 5-foot-7 right-hander tossed two efficient innings on the mound, running his fastball up to 71 mph. He demonstrated a simple, repeatable delivery while showcasing his quick and consistent arm. Boob appeared to have a good feel for his three-pitch arsenal, inducing swings and misses with his off-speed stuff both early and late in counts. At the plate, the righty barreled up two baseballs to opposite parts of the field, showing off both his strength and adjustability.

Nathan Astor (2028 RHP, Oakdale, PA) displayed tons of confidence and composure on the mound throughout his two innings of work. He showed great command of his three-pitch mix with an advanced feel for spinning the breaking ball. The breaker had an 11-5 shape with good depth, and induced multiple swings and misses from hitters. The 5-foot-7 right-hander moved smoothly down the slope with plenty of quickness in the arm. Astor also barreled up a fastball at the plate, creating backspin and carrying it into deep centerfield.

Adam Koraido (2028 SS, McMurray, PA) made noise on both sides of the ball. The 5-foot-8 right-handed hitter timed up a fastball and lined it right back up the middle for a single. He has a good feel for the barrel along with evident bat speed and a developing power tool. On the mound, Koraido ran his fastball up to 77 mph.

Tim Crayton (2028 C, Canonsburg, PA) was on the barrel all game long. Early on, the 5-foot-11 right-handed batter jumped on a first-pitch fastball and carried it into right field for a base hit. In his last at-bat of the game, he sat on a breaking ball and launched it into center field for a second knock. Crayton has intriguing power potential with plenty of quickness in the hips and hands.

Brandon Woelfel (2029 RHP, Aliquippa, PA) put together two efficient innings on the mound. The right-hander utilizes a clean, balanced operation with linear movements down the slope. He moved his fastball around the zone effectively, topping it out at 70 mph. Woelfel also landed an 11-5 breaking ball with an intriguing spin portfolio for strikes later on in counts.

Ben Lilley (2028 C, McClellandtown, PA) jumped on a heater and carried it into right-centerfield for a base hit early on and later barreled up another ball to the middle of the field. The 5-foot-10 right-handed hitter showcased intriguing bat-to-ball skills along with developing power from gap to gap.

Josh Stowers (2029 RHP, Alum Creek, WV) recorded two hits to separate parts of the diamond. The 5-foot-5 right-handed batter controls the barrel well throughout the strike zone and can create leverage from pole to pole.

Lucas Yoder (2028 SS, Massillon, OH) ran it up to 81 mph and struck out two batters in his lone relief inning. The 5-foot-9 right-hander blew the fastball by opposing hitters and was successful at keeping them off-balance with his mid-60s curveball.

Batting Practice Highlights

2/24/2024

Jackson Boob (2028 RHP, Hollidaysburg, PA) showed plenty of things to project on during his round, as he showed some present bat speed to produce several line drives through the middle-of-the field. He stays direct with his hands and delivered the barrel on-time.

Tim Crayton (2028 C, Canonsburg, PA) took perhaps the most consistent round of the day, as implores a simple and compact stroke to deliver the barrel with some authority. He has tons of quickness to his hands, creates some whip to his barrel and impacted the baseball well to the middle-of-the field.

Miles Wolf (2028 C, Macedonia, OH) used the entire field effectively, while flashing projectable bat speed and some strength at impact. He stays loose with his hands, delivered the barrel on-time and projects to add more power as he matures.

Adam Koraido (2028 SS, McMurray, PA) impressed with his ability to consistently be on the barrel throughout his round. He displays a quick launch, has plenty of present bat speed and flashed projectable power to the pullside.

Quincy Joseph (2028 C, Morgantown, WV) used his strong lower half to create plenty of present bat speed, while producing several line drives during his round. He showed quickness to his hands and delivered the barrel with intent.

Lucas Yoder (2028 SS, Massillon, OH) was impressive throughout his round, as the twitchy 2028 creates tons of leverage and whip to his barrel. He used the middle-of-the field extremely well and flashed some power potential through the gaps.
