Batting Practice Highlights

2/3/2024

Matthew Passantino (2028 RHP, Mount Sinai, NY) used a well-syned, repeatable stroke to impact the baseball well from gap-to-gap. He generates easy bat speed, has some feel for the barrel and projects for more power as he physically matures.

Braylon Showalter (2029 SS, Coopersburg, PA) turned the barrel over nicely, while showcasing plenty of bat speed and adjustability during his round. He creates leverage with his lower half and delivers the barrel with some authority.

Brayden Zito (2028 OF, Babylon, NY) displayed a low-effort, simple stroke with good feel for the barrel and plenty of bat speed. He stayed through the middle consistently, flashed some budding gap-to-gap power potential and projects to add more with maturity.

Jake Abrams (2028 C, Edison, NJ) showed tons of present bat speed throughout his round, while displaying the ability to impact the baseball with authority to the pullside.

Rj Harvey (2029 SS, Philadelphia, PA) implored a simple, direct stroke with quickness to his hands and feel for the barrel. He used the entire field nicely, impacted the baseball well to the middle-of-the field and will continue to expand his power potential as he matures.

Elijah Claudio (2028 OF, Vineland, NJ) stayed consistent through his round, as he shot numerous line drives through the middle-of-the field. He stays short and direct with his hands and has some present bat speed.

Milo Massuli (2027 OF, Magnolia, DE) showcased tons of strength at impact and the ability to leverage the baseball out in-front. He uses his strong lower half to create bat speed and flashed legitimate power potential through the middle-of-the field.

4-Gold vs 5-Maroon Game Highlights

2/3/2024

Robert Bara (2028 SS, Philadelphia, PA) put together a really nice AB in the first inning, battling for ten pitches which ultimately ended in a hard hit single to CF. The 5-foot-1, 95 pound ’28 prospect displayed good barrel control and successfully covered all parts of the zone.

Declan Walsh (2029 SS, Center Valley, PA) consistently showed off the contact tool over the course of his day with impact to the pull side middle of the field. Flashed good bat speed with developing strength in the hands.

Joey Vulin (2028 RHP, Ronkonkoma, NY) ripped a base hit single up the middle during his second AB. Strong, sturdy frame with good hands and a clean swing path. Also up to 73 on the mound, flashing a breaking ball at 62 mph (1911 rpm).

Matthew Passantino (2028 RHP, Mount Sinai, NY) looked sharp on both sides of the field, running his FB up to 79 mph on the mound while also picking up a pair of hits offensively. Showcased an inside out approach with line drive tendencies. Athletic ’28 name to follow.

Brayden Zito (2028 OF, Babylon, NY) made the most out of his 3rd PA, generating hard contact to LF for a single early in the AB. He successfully got the barrel extended with good bat-to-ball skills present.

Robert Pasquarello (2028 SS, Plymouth Meeting, PA) pitched an efficient inning on the mound in a relief appearance, going 1-2-3 with two K’s up to 78 mph. Athletic operation with room for additional projection in the future. Also smoked a ball to RF for a single on the offensive end.

Jake Abrams (2028 C, Edison, NJ) took home top FB velo of the game, pumping 81 mph with lots of life behind pitches. Showcased a clean release with direct downhill mechanics present.
