Jacob Webster: Long, lean and loose athletic frame. Hits from wide base with hands above shoulder height. Rocks back in to load. Line drive stroke working middle of field to the pull side. Showed ability to lift on occasion. More power to come with maturity.
James Juarez: Lefty bat,, hits from wide base. Starts with hands tucked tight. Best swings worked to middle of the field and pull side as he stayed behind the ball well with a short to the bal stroke and long finish.
Ethan Yazzie: Physical, well developed frame. Starts with base slightly wider than shoulder width. Draws back in to leg kick. Shows ability to lift balls to pull side with some loft as he catches the ball out front.
Johnny Hofmann: Athletic build with developing strength in lower half. Slightly open stance with direct stride. Showed good bat speed working line drives to the big part of the field to the pull side, showing occasional lift and carry. Consistently got the barrel on the ball.
Kelvin Lackey: Lean, athletic, slender build. Slightly open stance, rocket in to load with slight leg kick loading in to the back hip. Round continued to get better as he caught the ball out front, lacing line drives.
Zack Nightingale: Open stance with hands high, Nightingale rolls the toe as he closes up and loads. Showed consistent feel for the barrel while working line drives to the pull side.
Diego Ruiz: Hits from a wide base with a solid foundation. Slight bat tip leads to load. Shows sold strength in the wrists controlling the bat head. Consistently barreled balls to big part of the field and to the pull side. Good bat speed through the zone. Could see added power as body matures.
Kes Barrios: All field approach from the right hand hitter. Line drives, generally working the gaps, showing occasional lift to the pull side with loft. Slightly open stance with rhythmic swing releasing the bat head to long, one hand finish. Stayed behind the ball well throughout his round.
Tait Karlson: Primary pitcher, Karlson gave a good look during BP showing a leveraged swing with power to the pull side. The only attendee to knock a few over the fence at the showcase. Hits from wide base, getting in to lower half well generating easy power to the pull side. Consistently showed lift and carry.
