Maverick Bolen (2027, Scottsdale, AZ) impressed during his start on the mound. The fastball overwhelmed hitters, working up to 78 mph. The offering generated frequent whiffs at the top of the zone and paired well with a low-60’s curveball. Bolen also showed two-way ability with a loud RBI triple late in the game.
Liam Heasley (2027, Norco, CA) hammered a ball to deep center field for a triple before coming around to score the first run of the game. A short, compact path shows quick bat speed, while a quality approach stays gap to gap.
Keyen Marquez (2027, Carefree, AZ) put together a quality at-bat before barreling a ball into right field for a base hit. The switch-hitter shows the ability to manipulate the barrel. A strong frame allows for quality power to all fields.
Wes Gomes (2027, Murrieta, CA) found one of the loudest barrels of the event, on a deep fly out to the warning track in left field, followed by a bullet into left-center field for a base hit. A strong, mature build stands out on the diamond and can produce massive power at the plate.
Lincoln Demmons (2027, Chandler, AZ) recorded a base hit on a hard hit ball to the pullside, followed by another line drive single back up the middle. Sound bat to ball skills allow for the barrel to be found consistently.
Deegan Cross (2027, Lake Havasu City, AZ) showed off the two-way potential with a loud pitch mix on the mound and impressive power at the plate. The fastball overwhelmed hitters, working up to 82 mph with tight, sharp slider that can miss bats when in the zone. The slugger hammered a ball to deep left field for an RBI triple.
Eddie Rosas IV (2028, Nogales, AZ) hit a ball hard back up the middle for a base hit. A simple swing stays balanced and allows for higher velocity to be handled.
Jace Wright (2027, Phoenix, AZ) continued to show impact speed on day two. A quick first step out of the box puts pressure on the defense. Once on base he is a threat to steal at any moment. The speed also helped him recorded an RBI triple on a ball down the left field line.
Jaxson Baxter (2027, Paradise Valley, AZ) put together a long at-bat before lining a ball hard into left field for an RBI single. A patient approach allows Baxter to work deep into counts and find barrels often.
Zharius McAllister (2027, Gilbert, AZ) drove in a run with a hard hit single down the left field line. A short path to contact allows the bat head to get out front on inner-half pitches well.
Blake Gonzales (2027, Casa Grande, AZ) impressed on both sides of the ball. An aggressive approach at the plate leads to consistent hard hit contact, including a loud RBI triple. A dynamic pitch mix on the mound can miss bats often when in the zone. The fastball works 80-84 mph, pairing with a sharp, mid-60’s curveball.
