Aaron Brashear (2024 RHP, Katy, Texas) filled up the zone throughout his outing running it up to 85 with late life through the zone. Mixed in a good-looking slider with tightness as well. He could manipulate the shape of this pitch at times and drop it for strikes.
Preston Jones (2025 RHP, Waxahachie, Texas) looked the part off the bump going 2 strong innings while filling up the zone. Ran it up to 86 with good life. Mixed in a nasty tight breaking slider that he could locate and drop in for strikes.
Grayson McKelvey (2025 RHP, Aledo, Texas) ran it up to 87 with late ride through the zone. Fastball ran in on righties and played up as he worked downhill well. Mixed in a slider that he could locate well at times with some tilt and tightness. Forced a lot of weak contact and pounded the inner half well.
Bode Allan (2025 RHP, Shavano Park, Texas) gave us a quick look of pure dominance running it up to 86 with heavy run. Sequenced in a nasty slider with tightness and late bite. Could locate this pitch well and drop it in for strikes. Got late swings and misses on his fastball.
Brandon Gomez (2025 RHP, El Paso, Texas) was on the barrel a good bit throughout the game including a pieced single back up the middle. Physical in the box with a short swing. Controls the barrel well and stays level through the zone. Also ran it up to 88 with late life and ride through the zone. Worked East to West well and pounded the zone. Dropped in a 10-4 looking curve with solid depth. Could locate and throw it for strikes. His best secondary pitch was his change which had heavy fading drop and mimicked arm speed and slot. Was also on the barrel a good bit during live game action finding the barrel in all 4 of his abs.
Cooper Mees (2025 C, Temple, Texas) clobbered a double down the right field line. Has a smooth lefty swing and is athletic in the box. Bat speed is very present with good feel to create leverage and launch the ball. Showed that he has no problem turning on velo on the inner half of the plate.
Juan Diego Amescua (2025 SS, San Antonio, Texas) took his loud BP into game action and stayed on the barrel a good bit. Athletic in the box and swings with good rhythm. Stays balanced throughout the process with a quick set of hands. Bat speed is very present. Athletic all over the dirt with fluid actions.
Timothy Segura (2024 LHP, Somerset, Texas) showed good flashes of pure dominance throughout his 2-inning outing racking up 5ks. Sat in the low 80s with good life and attacked the zone from tough angles. Sequenced well with a disgusting hammer that he could drop in wherever he pleased. Curve had depth and late bite and made hitters look foolish. Mixed in a change as well with good fading action. Quality 3-pitch mix.
Eli Buxton (2024 RHP, Sand Springs, Oklahoma) came in to close things out on the day and proceeded to run it up to 89 with heavy run. Has a live arm coming in from a steep angle. Works down-hill as the ball explodes out of his hand. Mixed in a disgusting slider with heavy tilt and late bite.
