4- Red vs. 5- White Game Highlights

6/7/2023

Jones Roberson (2027, Greenville, MS) barreled a ball loudly through the left side in the bottom of the second. The primary corner infielder swings the bat hard with lots of intent and has standout strength that plays out front.

Avery Wolsey (2027, Benton, MO) put good wood on a long fly ball pull side that he sent over the left fielder’s head for a double. With lots of length and a quick bat, Wolsey possesses significant projection for power moving forward.

Sam Davidson (2026, Collierville, TN) threw two scoreless innings, getting the start for 5- White. The right-hander topped at 77 mph with some carry. The curveball projects well, showing 11-5 shape and he flashed a changeup to round out the three-pitch repertoire. He also picked up a double with the bat in the final inning.

Cooper Crenshaw (2028, Smithville, MS) picked up a pair of knocks for 4- Red. The Mississippi native has proven to be able to handle the stick well with good barrel skills. He has solid hand-eye and the bat translates in game.

Jacob-Isaac Pierce (2027, Glen, MS) drove a double into left field in the top of the fifth. Pierce can play in several spots on the diamond and possesses a loose, leveraged stroke that should be conducive for added power with strength.

Deacon Cicero (2028, Bryant, AR) showed some really intriguing stuff on the bump. The southpaw ran his fastball up to 75 mph with life and showed a nasty breaking ball. The hook showed healthy shape and good depth. Cicero punched out six batters over three frames.

Haiden Lange (2028, Carterville, IL) went three-plus innings and competed throughout the outing. The heater topped at 75 mph and lived in the low-70s for the most part. Lange projects well and also flashed solid feel for a curveball.

Colton Robbins (2027, Hernando, MS) pitched well the previous game and swung the stick well this time. In the fifth inning, the left-handed stick poked a grounder up the middle for a base knock. Robbins has a hitterish look in the box and the two-way upside really stands out.
