2-Orange vs. 3-Purple Game Highlights

8/28/2022

Cooper Rummel (2025 RHP, Austin, TX) flashed some pretty dominant stuff in his outing striking out 8 batters through 3 innings of work. He got into a nice rhythm and worked quickly and efficiently. He sat in the upper 80s with his fastball that at times would look like there was some sinking action on it because of his arm angle. He topped out at 89. He got plenty of late swings and misses off his fastball. He also worked in a good-looking curve that kept hitters late on his fastball sitting in the low 70s range. Flashed a slider every now and then with some slight tilt. He was not afraid to throw any of his pitches at any time.

Aidan Taniguchi (2023 RHP, San Antonio, TX) sat back on a curve and ripped it through the 6 hole for a hard hit single off of a really good pitcher.

Gus Begert (2025 OF, Austin, TX) pitched extremely well striking out 4 batters through 2 innings of work. The opposing team was not able to get anything going against him as he did not allow a single hit. His fastball sat in the upper 70s and touched 80 at times.
