Batting Practice Highlights

1/9/2022

Ryan Jordan (2022 SS, Oak Park, CA) showed good intent in his right-handed swing driving the ball hard on a line to the pull side. The barrel stays mostly level through the hitting zone allowing him to find the sweet spot routinely.

Theodore Kummer (2022 C, Dallas, TX) creates good separation pre-swing driving the ball hard on a line to the opposite field gap. He uses the lower half well throughout the swing to create leverage and drive at the point of contact.

Jackson Licata (2022 2B, Orange, CA) found the barrel routinely in his round with good barrel control through the zone and extension at contact. The ball comes off the barrel well with more power to come as eh continues to mature and add strength to the frame.

Pedro Quero (2022 C, Tempe, AZ) had good separation pre-swing and does a nice job hitting off a strong back side. The ball comes off the barrel best to center field when he is able to get the ball out front with extension in the limbs.

Adrian Aviles (2022 OF, Paramount, CA) punished some balls to the pull side with good intent to his left-handed swing. The ball carries easy in the air with some natural loft to the swing helping to create back spin on the ball flight.

Indy Anderson (2022 1B, Seattle, WA) showed some of his power form the middle to the pull side of the field with natural loft to the bat path. The ball jumps of the barrel when he is out front at contact with strength that plays well into his swing.

Caden Casagrande (2022 SS, Eagle, ID) swing with good intent from the right side with good strength in the hands at the point of contact. The ball comes off the barrel well to all fields with good feel for the barrel and a good use of the lower half in the swing.

Zachary Johnson (2022 OF, St. Petersburg, FL) showed good consistency in his right-handed swing with a level bat path that routinely plays out front with some projectable bat speed. The ball comes off the barrel best to center field with good extension through contact.

Tucker Fountain (2022 RHP, Huntington Beach, CA) uses the length in his 6-foot-4 frame well to create extension through the ball and drive it hard on a line back up the middle. He showed good strength in the hands at the point of contact allowing the ball to carry well from the middle to the right side with more to come with room to continue to add strength moving forward.
