White, Green, and Royal Game Highlights

8/8/2021

Tanner Legner (2022 SS, Pontiac, IL) made the loudest contact of the day for the White team, crushing one into the opposite field gap for a triple. He elevated an outside pitch and it carries a long way as he sent it soaring over the outfielder's heads. The right-handed hitter has a large and athletic build, and he showed the he can really impact the ball when on time and squared. 

James Heller (2022 SS, Oregon, WI) looked good on the bump today, as he sat 80-83 mph and topped out at 84 mph with late arm side run. He utilizes a smooth and controlled operation, and he has a loose and whippy arm action. He featured a 12-6 curveball with good depth and downer action, and he displayed great feel for it, throwing it in any count. 

Jack Wheeler (2025 SS, Morris, IL) was seeing the ball well today, as he barreled up two balls, including a line drive right to the shortstop and a well struck single up the middle. He has put together some impressive at bats this weekend, and has shown an exciting offensive skillset. 

Brody Von Berge (2022 RHP, Hudson, WI) was dealing today for the Green team, as he tossed three innings, giving up just one hit and striking out seven opposing batters. He flashed an intriguing three-pitch, showing real swing and miss potential with each pitch. He sat 82-86 mph, featuring a changeup at 75 mph and a slider at 76 mph. 

Logan Von Berge (2022 RHP, Hudson, WI) flashed some impressive arm speed today, as he sat 85-88 mph and ran his fastball up to 90 mph. the right-hander throws with high intent and generates a downward angle on his fastball, in addition to 74 mph breaker. He would throw three no-hit innings with two strikeouts. 

Davis Webb (2023 1B, Tipton, IA) showed some intriguing potential on the mound today, as he tossed one quick inning throwing just nine pitches while sitting 82-83 mph. He has a huge 6-foot-6 frame and he has a loose and easy arm action. It's safe to say that the left-hander has a very high ceiling on the mound. 

Maddux Frese (2023 SS, Norway, IA) was swinging it well today, as he picked up a couple of base knocks, including a well-struck ball to the opposite field. The primary shortstop also flashed the leather, making a handful of nice plays. Whether it's in the box or in the field, he does everything with smoothness and fluidity. 

Bode Nagelmaker (2025 C, Dubuque, IA) impressed with the bat today, showing a mature approach and polished swing for his age. The left-handed hitter collected two hard-hit singles up the middle in his first game of the day, doing a nice job of staying directional and not pulling off the ball. The rising freshman has a smooth swing with present pop. 

Michael Boyce (2023 OF, Naperville, IL) was 2-for-4 on the day for the Royal team. He collected a well-struck, RBI double in the pull side gap during his second at bat of the day. He has an athletic, 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame with quick hands and present bat speed. 


Col. Blue vs Orange Game Highlights

Garrett Polson (2024 RHP, Sterling, IL) The 2024 grad showed a clean, repeatable delivery with good extension out front. Fastball produced good downhill tilt with occasional run to arm side. Effective worked ahead of hitters with fastball. Also flashed good depth with an 11/5 breaking ball. Polson worked three scoreless inning striking out four batters.

Zane Frese (2022 OF, Norway, IA) The Norway native displayed good feel for the edges of the zone with his fastball topping at 81 mph. Frese also showed the ability to change speed effective, keeping hitters off balance. The 2022 grad worked three innings while striking out six batters.

Saahas Jetti (2024 OF, Urbandale, IA) The 2024 grad was impressive on the mound showing a quick arm through extension and produced heavy life up to 83 mph. Aggressive attacked the zone with fastball and worked ahead of hitters. Curveball showed 10/5 shape with tighter spin and good depth in the low 70's. Jetti worked two no hit innings, striking out all six batters faced.

Blake Lundholm (2024 SS, Johnston, IA) Lundhold showed a smooth, repeatable delivery with a clean arm action through extension. Generated solid downhill tilt with fastball to the bottom of the zone. Had a mature presence on the mound and effectively challenge the zone throughout his outing. Flashed both a slider and curveball offering showing a deceptive arm speed at release. Lundholm worked two hit less innings while striking out two batters.


Orange vs White Game Highlights

8/7/2021

Nikola French (2025 C, Omaha, NE) The 2025 grad displayed good bat speed through the zone creating hard contact when squared. Also impressed defensively showing good range to each side while making strong, stiff throws across the infield. 

Devin Fritzsch (2022 RHP, Omaha, NE) The Omaha native showed a loose arm through extension from a three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly generating solid sink with occasional run up to 83 mph. Also flashed an 11/5 curveball that produced late, hard depth to the bottom of the zone.

Carson Beavers (2024 OF, Rochester, MN) The Minnesota native utilized a clean, linear barrel plane through extension. Flashed the ability to turn the barrel to contact well with intent. Doubled sharply to right field in game action.

Henry Read (2022 RHP, Marion, IA) Was impressive at the plate showing a smooth, naturally leveraged barrel plane. Showed a knack for finding the barrel and producing hard contact. Collected two base hits in game action.


Batting Practice Highlights

8/7/2021

Blake Lundholm (2024 SS, Johnston, IA) showcased a smooth and fluid swing during BP, finding consistent barrels towards the middle of the field. He utilizes a small leg lift trigger and he syncs up the operation well, displaying rhythm and present barrel accuracy. 

Henry Read (2022 RHP, Marion, IA) is a left-handed hitter that produced solid line drive contact during his round. He creates separation within the swing and he has intriguing strength present, leading to loud impact to the pull side when on time and squared.

Tyler Von Bank (2022 OF, Minnetrista, MN) is an aggressive swinger that looks elevate and do damage with each pitch. He has a lean and athletic build with some raw strength and power in the swing, and he creates solid impact to the pull side when on time and squared. 

Brody Von Berge (2022 RHP, Hudson, WI) is another aggressive swinger that steps into the box with dangerous intent. He utilizes a big stride into contact and creates plenty of leverage within the operation. In addition to his power potential, he also found plenty of barrels during his round and showed the ability to create lift at contact. 

Logan Von Berge (2022 RHP, Hudson, WI) showed some intriguing power potential to both gaps, creating loud impact all over the field. He has a strong and physical build and he can elevate with ease, which translates very well moving forward as he continues to refine his approach. 

Jack Wheeler (2025 SS, Morris, IL) is an exciting young prospect, and he flashed intriguing potential in the box during his round. He displays a direct and linear bat path with present hand quickness. His frame and swing project well, and he has some pieces to really like moving forward. 

Nikola French (2025 C, Omaha, NE) is an extremely strong and physically advanced prospect for his age, and he showed plenty of twitch and bat speed during BP. The right-handed hitter has some tools be excited about for the future, and he flashed some loud impact to the pull side in this one. 

Devin Fritzsch (2022 RHP, Omaha, NE) has a large and physical build with present strength in the swing. There is definite bat speed present, and he has the tools to really improve with added refinement. He created loud contact when on time and squared.

Michael Zordani (2022 RHP, Oconomowoc, WI) has an extra-large, 6-foot-6, 217-pound frame, and there is obvious strength and power potential present. He produced consistent barrels and loud contact to his pull side during his round, and he will be a homerun threat in the box as he learns to elevate the ball more effectively. 

Maddux Frese (2023 SS, Norway, IA) has a smooth and effortless swing with solid jump off the barrel when on time and squared. He showed a fluid bat path with a rhythmic load, and he looked his best in this one when staying towards the opposite field. 

Sam Harris (2023 1B, Urbandale, IA) definitely had one of the loudest rounds of the day, as he launched balls to his pull side all round. The left-handed hitter stands at 6-foot-4, 220-pounds and has the ideal power-hitting/middle of the order profile. He has big time pop to his pull side, and there is obvious strength and bat speed within the swing. 

Isaac Pegors (2022 SS, Bismarck, ND) has a big and physical 6-foot, 200-pound frame, and he creates impressive impact and leverage with minimal movement in the operation. He had a solid showing during BP, as he consistently barreled balls up to the middle of the field. 

Ben Orr (2022 3B, Durant, IA) is an aggressive and high intent swinger that looks to do damage from the left side of the plate. He consistently created loud contact to the pull side, and he even drove one into the opposite field gap during his round. He has quick hands with present bat speed, and he has the tools to greatly improve moving forward. 


Columbia Blue vs Green Game Highlights

8/7/2021

Liam Bender (2024 SS, Coralville, IA) got Columbia Blue on the board early, driving in two runs with a well-struck base hit into the opposite field gap. He showed a mature approach as he waited back on a outside pitch and took it the other way with authority. 

Ethan Gast (2022 2B, Durant, IA) put together a solid day at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with two singles. He has a contact-oriented approach, and he showed present bat to ball skills with good hands and a direct bat path. 

Jack Welak (2025 RHP, Wauwatosa, WI) looked quite poised on the mound for his age, as he gave his squad three strong innings with six strikeouts. The right-hander sat 73-77 mph with a fluid arm path and a clean operation. He would occasionally mix in a short slider at 70 mph, and he has the pieces to really improve moving forward.

Zac Henderson (2023 RHP, Cedar Rapids, IA) struck out six opposing batters in just three innings for the Green team, sitting 77-81 mph with some late lift to the fastball. He attacked with the fastball and challenged hitters all game. He featured a 73 mph curveball as his off speed pitch, but he was effectively able to miss bats with his fastball.

Mason Stroh (2023 RHP, Grand Forks, ND) flashed some intriguing potential on the mound in this one, sitting 77-82 mph with great feel for his 66 mph curveball. He could land his curveball for strikes and it was a good change of pace for him. The right-hander has a large, 6-foot-5, 200-pound frame, and there is real potential present as he continues to develop. He would also add a double at the plate to help his cause. 

Anthony Marshall (2022 OF, peoria, IL) would collect two hits for the Green team, including a well-struck single into the opposite field gap. It was a solid piece of hitting, as he went the other way with an outside pitch. The right-handed hitter has a large 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame, and has a chance to really impact the baseball with added development. 

Treyse Eastman (2024 C, Dell Rapids, SD) smoked one down the left-field line for a double in his last at bat. He created loud contact to the pull side, barreling up an off speed pitch and getting the barrel turned over.

Jack Wheeler (2025 SS, Morris, IL) is an exciting young prospect with a projectable 6-foot-3, 165-pound frame. His flashed his potential on the mound in this one, sitting 76-79 mph with a compact operation. The velocity is intriguing for his age, and he will continue to improve as he develops his off speed pitches. 


Royal vs White Game Highlights

Jamison Harris (2024 LHP, La Vista, NE) The 2024 grad showed a loose arm action that generated solid whip through extension. Fastball created good downhill tilt with occasional run up to 81 mph. Curveball showed 1/7 shape with solid depth when staying on top of offering. Harris worked two shut out innings while striking out three batters.

Sam Harris (2023 1B, Urbandale, IA) Was impressive on the mound showing a heavy fastball with good run up to 85 mph. Consistently worked ahead early in counts and challenged hitters. The Urbandale native also created sharp 1/7 depth with his breaking ball. Harris worked two no hit innings while striking out three batters.

Michael Boyce (2023 OF, Naperville, IL) The 2023 grad displayed good feel for the barrel throughout the day utilizing a linear barrel plane. Consistently produced hard contact off the barrel when squared picking up a single in each game of the day.

Bode Nagelmaker (2025 C, Dubuque, IA) The 2025 grad continued to hammer the baseball in game two picking up two more base hits including a double to right center field. The 2025 grad consistently delivers the barrel on time to all parts of the zone with a knack for finding the barrel.


Orange vs Royal Game Highlights

8/7/2021

Chase McEwan (2025 RHP, Denver, IA) Displayed clean, repeatable mechanics with the ability to locate fastball to each edge of the plate. Effectively worked ahead of hitters with a running fastball topping at 80 mph. Also flashed solid depth with breaking ball. McEwan worked three scoreless innings while striking out four batters.

Sam Harris (2023 1B, Urbandale, IA) Harris showed plus bat speed with solid strength at contact. Consistently threw barrel head with authority. Doubled sharply in game action to right field.

Bode Nagelmaker (2025 C, Dubuque, IA) Utilized a clean, compact line drive barrel plane through extension. Controlled the barrel well and showed a knack for creating hard contact. Tripled to center field in game action. 

Carson Beavers (2024 OF, Rochester, MN) The 2024 grad showed a mature approach at the plate with the ability to work to all fields. Stayed on balance throughout swing that produced a repeatable swing path. Collected two base hits in game action.
