Jack Walsh is a 2023 C/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Wahlert. Recorded a 7.57 second sixty yard dash time. Long and lanky frame with room to fill. Primary catcher with a high set up and sound mechanical base. Is quick/explosive out of the chute, has segmented actions at present and tends to stand straight up to throw. Recorded a 1.92 second pop time at 76 mph, showing quality arm strength. Has some things to work with moving forward, will improve as he stays low throughout the process. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and a toe tap trigger. Very low effort operation, limited quickness in the swing but is very fluid. Long swing path with some recoil on the finish, showed the ability to create lift at contact. Great chance to improve moving forward. Excellent student.
