North Florida Storm defeat Galaxy Aces

The North Florida Storm 17U Black defeated the Galaxy Aces, 6-1.

Luke Cooksey (2015, St. Augustine HS, FL) led the way, going 2-4 with a double, single, and one run scored.  Thomas DeBonville (2015, Summit HS, CO) went 1-4 with a single, one run and one RBI.  Chris Gau (2015, University Christian, FL) went 1-3, with a single and one RBI in the game.

Gau also pitched four innings on the mound, giving up just one hit and struck out four, while displaying a good fastball that topped out at 88 mph.

For the Aces, Auston Smith (2015, Santaluces Community, FL) went 1-3 with a single, and Victor Hughes (2014, Boynton Beach Community, FL) went 1-2 with a single as well in the game.


Elite Squad shutout The Edge 12-0

Elite Squad 17U Slugger grabbed the shutout victory, defeating The Edge, 12-0.

Leroy Garcia (2015, Monsignor Edward Pace HS, FL) led the way, going 2-3 with two singles, and two runs scored.  Griffin Conine (2015, Pine Crest HS, FL) went 2-3 as well, with a double, single, one run, and one RBI.  Josten Heron (2015, Miami Southridge HS, FL) went 1-1 with a single, two runs, and three RBIs.  Adrian Mayans (2015, Westminster Christian HS, FL) went a perfect 2-2, with two singles, two runs and one RBI.

Michael Schappell (2015, West Broward HS, FL) pitched a complete game, giving up just one hit, and struck out ten, in five innings of work.  He showed a good fastball that averaged 84-86 mph and topped out at 88 mph.

For The Edge, Javy Castaneda (2015, St. Brendan HS, FL) went 1-2 with a single in the game.

The Scorpions Panhandle 2015 defeated the Orlando Baseball Academy 2015, 8-6.

Cole Sands (2015, North Florida Christian HS, FL) a Florida State commit, went 2-4 with two singles and one run scored.  Trevor McElroy (2016, Lincoln HS, FL) went 2-3 with a double, single, and two RBIs.  Jake Taddeo (2015, Lawton Chiles HS, FL) and Tyler Head (2015, Niceville Senior HS, FL) each contributed with a double in the game.

For the Orlando Baseball, Brett Coffel (2015, Lake Minneola HS, FL) went 2-4 with two single and two runs scored.  Bo Simmons (2015, Boone HS, FL) went 1-3 with a double, one run and two RBIs.  Jose Mandry (2015, Cypress Creek HS, FL) went 2-4 with two singles and one run as well in the game.  Nathan Sterijevski (2015, East Ridge HS, FL) also contributed with a double to the offense.

SWFL 17U Grey shutout the Florida Pokers Upperclass Carolina, 8-0.

Zuriel Collins (2015, Clearwater Cntrl Cath, FL) led the way, going 2-3 with two singles, one run and one RBI in the game.  Milton Figueroa (2015, Wharton HS, FL) went a perfect 2-2 with two doubles, and two RBIs.  Andrew Abbott (2015, Alonso HS, FL) went 1-1 with a single, two runs and two RBIs.  Brandon Hernandez (2015, Royal Palm Beach HS, FL) and Jacob Silverstein (2015, Seminole HS, FL) each contributed with a double.

Thaddeus Ward (2015, Bishop Verot HS, FL) pitched a complete game, giving up one hit and struck out four, in five innings of work.  He showed good command with a fastball that averaged 87-89 mph topped out at 91 mph, while also mixing in a good curveball.

For the Pokers, Mike Fitschen (2015, J.P. Taravella HS, FL) went 1-2 with a double.

For Hernando Baseball, Justin Young (2015, Hernando HS, FL) went a perfect 2-2 at the plate, with a double, single, one run and two RBIs.

Brett Coffel (2015, Lake Minneola HS, FL) went 2-3 with two singles and one RBI.  Jacob Southern (2016, Apopka HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single, one run and one RBI.

Hunter Rotarius (2015, Apopka HS, FL) went 1-2 with a double at the plate, and also pitched a complete game, giving up just one hit and struck out five.  He showed a fastball that topped out at 82 mph, and mixed in a handful of curveballs for his off-speed pitch.

For the Huskies, Victor Santana (2015, Archbishop Edward McCarthy HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single.

Brayson Smith (2015, Lincoln HS, FL) sparked the Scorpions offense, going 1-3 with a double and one RBI.  Cole Sands (2015, North Florida Christian HS, FL) a Florida State commit, and Alec Elsbernd (2015, Chiles HS, FL) each went 1-3 with a single a piece.

Bowden Francis (2015, Lawton Chiles HS, FL) pitched 7.2 innings of work, giving up just four hits, and recorded 15 strikeouts in the game.  He was around the plate with all of his pitches, and had a fastball that averaged 86-88 mph and topped out at 89 mph.

For the Bombers, Jonathan Newman (2016, Barron Collier HS, FL) went 2-4 with two singles, and one RBI.  George Denove (2015, Community School of Naples, FL) also went 2-4 with two singles.

Taravella HS, FL) went 3-4 with one RBI.  Hunter Platts (2015, Charles W. Flanagan HS, FL) went 2-3 with two singles and one run, and Thomas Fengler (2015, Pompano Beach HS, FL) also contributed with a triple in the game.

The Gainesville Naturals 17U grabbed the 7-3 victory, over the Hialeah Warriors.

Leadoff hitter Cameron Coffey (2015, Williston HS, FL) sparked the offense, by going 3-3 at the plate, with a triple, two singles, three runs scored, and one RBI in the game.  Hayden Cano (2015, Williston HS, FL) went 2-3 with two singles and one RBI.  Caleb Polk (2016, Bradford HS, FL) also went 2-3 in the game, with a double, single, and one RBI.

Polk also pitched two innings, giving up no hits and struck out three, while displaying a fastball that topped out at 83 mph.

For the Warriors, J. Barrenehe went 1-3 with a single, and one RBI, and Brandon Garcia had a double, with one run and one RBI.

Collins' Walk-Off Single Gives Palm Beach W

Jacob Collins (2016, Santaluces Community HS, FL) hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 7th inning which also happened to break up a no-hitter as Palm Beach Shockers White beat South Florida Huskies 17U 2-1.

Pitchers on both sides was solid the entire game as there was only a combined 4 hits. Jordan Marrs (2015, Lake Worth Christian HS, FL) tossed 4.1 innings for the Shockers while only giving up 3 hits, striking out 3 on just 1 earned run with a smooth delivery and loose arm action. Sean Hart (2016, The Kings Academy, FL) picked up the win in relief throwing 2.2 innings of no-hit ball while recording 2 strikeouts.

On the losing side, Andrew Sheinbaum (2015, Coral Glades HS, FL) tossed 5.2 innings as he took the loss striking out 4, giving up just 1 hit and 2 runs while showing sound mechanics and mixing in breaking balls effectively. 

Pitching, Offense Lead Scorps to 3-0 Win

The Scorpions Panhandle 2015 held the SWFL Prospects to three hits as the offense generated enough runs to pull out a 3-0 victory. 
Jordan Curtis, (2015, Lincoln, FL) led the Scorpions offense with three hits, a triple and two singles, to go with one RBI, a stolen base and a run scored. Brayson Smith, (2015, Lincoln, FL) connected for a solo home run and Alec Elsbernd, (2015, Chiles HS, FL) added two hits, including a double, and a run scored to add to the Scorpions offensive production. Ethan Michaelis, (2015, North Florida Christian, FL) threw a complete game shutout, only allowing three hits while striking out six. He flashed an 80-82 mph fastball that reached 85 mph and showed the ability to change speeds as he also mixed in a slider. 
Julian Ossias pitched a complete game for the SWFL Prospects, allowing eight hits, three runs (two earned) and struck out four. 

PBC Gameday Elite Wins 3-1

PBC Gameday Elite 17U defeated Team Tampa Bay 17U 3-1 as they led the entire way. John Spring (2015, Palm Beach Gardens HS, FL) was solid on the mound recording the victory for PBC Elite and the offense mustered out enough for the win. Spring tossed 5.2 innings and recorded 4 strikeouts on just 4 hits on just 1 run allowed.

The winning offense was led by Rudy Viton (2015, Cardinal Newman HS, FL) and Hunter Sanicky (2015, Palm Beach Gardens HS, FL) who both recorded 2 hits on the afternoon for PBC. Viton had a double, single, and RBI while Sanicky had a double, single, scored a run, and drew a walk. 

Danny Brackman (2015, Berkeley Prep HS, FL) sparked the comeback attempt for Team Tampa Bay. Brackman recorded a hit and scored their only run of the game in the 6th inning in the losing effort. 

Early Lead Gives Shockers 3-2 Win

The Palm Beach Shockers White took an early 3-0 lead after three innings and held onto a narrow 3-2 win over the Miami Barracudas. 
Tyler Gusow, (2016, Spanish River Community, FL) led the Palm Beach offense going 2-3 with two singles and drove in two of his team's three runs. Gusow also pitched three hitless innings, only surrendering one unearned run while striking out one. Connor Hart, (2014, The Kings Academy, FL) also had a nice game offensively going 1-2 with a single, one RBI, a walk and a run scored. Joe Calamita, (2014, Park Vista Community, FL) pitched four solid innings, allowing one run on two hits while striking out six. 
Eduardo Cutillas, (2015, Monsignor Edward Pace, FL) led the Barracudas offensively going 1-3 with an RBI single. Lead off hitter Jose Rojas, (2015, Coral Reef Senior, FL) also had a single and scored a run. Nick Ramirez, (2015, Coral Reef Senior, FL) pitched three innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits while striking out four. 

Warriors Win Comeback 4-3

The Hialeah Warriors scored two runs in both the 5th and 6th innings to complete their comeback and beat Team Tampa Bay 17U. 
John Ham was the offensive leader for the Hialeah Warriors going 1-2 with an RBI single. Jonathon Diaz led the Warriors with two base hits and a run scored. Wilson Lorenzo pitched three scoreless innings, allowing only three hits while striking out three to earn the win. 
Donovan Pink, (2015, Lakewood, FL) led Team Tampa Bay's offense with three hits, including two singles and a double, as well as driving in one run and scoring a run. Michael Ferrandiz, (2014, Lakewood, FL) also had a nice offensive game going 2-4 with two singles and one RBI. Ferrandiz also pitched 1.1 perfect innings, allowing no runs or hits while striking out two. 

Lowe's Performance Gives Orlando Baseball W

Evan Lowe (2015, The Masters Academy HS, FL) put on a display both at the plate and on the mound as Orlando Baseball Academy 2015 beat North Florida Storm 17U Red 9-1. Lowe tossed 5 innings while striking out 6 on 3 hits and 1 run allowed as he picked up the win mixing fastballs, breaking balls, and changeups and ended 2-4 with a triple, double, and 3 RBI at the plate. 

Along with Lowe, Hunter Rotarius (2015, Apopka HS, FL) produced for the winning offense as well ending the game 2-3 with a double, RBI, and 2 runs scored. 

Drew Dumas (2014, Ridgeview HS, FL) recorded an RBI double in the 3rd inning for the only run of the game for North Florida Storm. 

Naples Bombers Upend Shockers Blue 4-2

Naples Bombers scored a run in each of its last 3 at-bats to go on to defeat Palm Beach Shockers Blue 4-2. Emilio Valdivia (2015, Barron Collier HS, FL) had a great day both at the plate and on the mound for the winning squad.

Valdivia picked up the win in his 5 innings of work while giving up only 3 hits on 1 earned run and also recorded 2 hits at the plate. Aside from Valdivia, George Denove (2015, Community School of Naples, FL) also produced for the winning offense finishing 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Kyle Lamb (2016, John I. Leonard HS, FL) had a good day at the plate on the losing end as he finished 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. 

Galaxy Aces Hold Off A's Select For W

In a well-pitched game with only 6 combined hits, the Galaxy Aces held off A's Select 3-1. 

Sean Lawlor (2015, Boca Raton Community HS, FL) recorded all 3 RBI for the winning Aces with a double in the 3rd inning to lead the offense. Donald Vlahkis (2015, Highlands Christian Academy, FL) picked up the win on the mound in his 6.2 innings of work. Vlahkis struck out 4 while only giving up 3 hits and only 1 run allowed. 

Alexis Otano had a good outing for himself on the other side but was handed the loss. Otano lasted 6 innings while only giving up 3 hits.

Yasser Santana recorded an RBI single and a walk at the plate in the losing effort.

Elite Squad 17u TPX won 1-0 over PBC Gameday Elite 17u. Nicholas Marchese (2015, St. Thomas Aquinas, FL) drove in the game's only run with a sacrifice fly. Brian Van Belle (2015, Archbishop Edward McCarthy, FL) struck out 4 in 3 innings, topping out at 88 mph with his fastball.

Team Tampa Bay 17U scored three runs in the sixth inning to take the lead, and held on for a 4-3 victory over Elite Squad 17U TPX in Fort Myers on Monday.

Anthony Pellegrino (2015, Berkeley Preparatory School, FL) and Donovan Pink (2015, Lakewood HS, FL) each drove in a run for Tampa Bay, and Nathan Tomilonus (2015, Seminole HS, FL) added two runs scored and two singles. Logan Henderson (2016, Land O Lakes HS, FL) scored a run and doubled for his only hit in the win.

Roman Oliu (2015, Armwood HS, FL) worked all seven innings for Tampa Bay with six strikeouts. He allowed two earned runs, and his fastball topped out at 84 mph.

Driving in runs for Elite Squad were Spencer Diaz (2015, Spanish River Community HS, FL) and Nicholas Marchese (2015, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL). Chris Busch (2015, West Boca Raton HS, FL) and Michael Escarra (2015, Mater Academy Charter, FL) supplied a triple each in the losing effort.

SWFL Prospects Score Late to Win

SWFL Prospects scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead, claiming a 4-1 victory over Palm Beach Shockers White on Monday at Terry Park.

Isaiah McIntyre (2016, Bloomingdale HS, FL) and Jeffrey Daly (2015, Jefferson HS, FL) each drove in a run for SWFL, while Jonathan Cosme (2015, Gulf Coast HS, FL) added two runs scored. McIntyre, Daly, and Hunter Harrison (2016, Bartow HS, FL) recorded the SWFL hits, all singles, in the victory.

Daly tossed a complete game for SWFL Prospects, striking out six hitters and allowing one run on four hits. His fastball topped out at 85 mph.

North Florida Storm 17U Black scored three runs in the second inning, and never trailed in a 9-1 victory over Palm Beach Shockers Blue on Monday at City of Palms Park.

Zack Miller (2015, University Christian School, FL) and Cole Perry (2015, Atlantic Coast HS, FL) each drove in two runs for the Storm, and Thomas DeBonville (2015, Summit HS, CO) drove in one run. Perry, Rhett Willis (2015, Fort White HS, FL) and Collin Hand (2015, Brunswick, FL) led the team with two hits in the victory.

Willis did not allow an earned run over seven innings. He surrendered three hits, and struck out seven hitters with a fastball that topped out at 88 mph.

The Shockers run was driven in by Austin Dempsey (2016, Wellington HS, FL) and scored by Ryan Stark (2016, Wellington HS, FL). Stark also added a double in the losing effort.

Orlando Baseball Academy Claims 3-1 Win

Orlando Baseball Academy 2015 scored three runs in the first two innings, and never trailed in a 3-1 victory over MPi 17U in Fort Myers on Monday.

Evan Lowe (2015, The Masters Academy, FL) and Nathan Sterijevski (2015, East Ridge HS, FL) each drove in a run for Orlando. Lowe also added a double. Bo Simmons (2015, Boone HS, FL), Hunter Rotarius (2015, Apopka HS, FL), and Bobby Ornes (2015, East Ridge HS, FL) each scored a run in the Orlando victory.

Ornes earned the win for Orlando, allowing one run on five hits over six innings. He struck out five, and his fastball topped out at 80 mph.

The sole MPi run was driven in by Jose Zepeda (2017, Florida Christian School, FL) and was scored by Erik Largo (2015, Miami Palmetto HS, FL) in the loss.

Florida Pokers Tie With Galaxy Aces

Florida Pokers Upperclass Carolina scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to force a 2-2 tie with Galaxy Aces on Monday.

The two Pokers runs were driven in by Equon Smith (2015, Haines City HS, FL) and Garrett Hiott (2015, Pompano Beach HS, FL), while Smith and Mike Fitschen (2015, Taravella HS, FL) scored a run apiece. Smith and Fitschen led the Pokers with two hits apiece in the draw.

Brett Jones (2015, Riverdale Baptist School, MD) tossed a complete game, allowing two runs on six hits with ten strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 88 mph.

Auston Smith (2015, Santaluces Community HS, FL) drove in a run and scored a run for the Aces, and Tyler Levin (2015, Oxbridge Academy, FL) scored the other run. Smith’s three hits included a double, which led the hitting efforts for the Aces.

Sean Lawlor (2015, Boca Raton Community HS, FL) tossed five innings with one run allowed, and he struck out five hitters. His fastball peaked at 79 mph.

Hernando Baseball scored runs in every inning and their pitching held the opposition in a 13-3 win over the North Florida Storm 17U Red. 
Tanner Bammert, (2015, Hernando, FL) led the Hernando Baseball offense going 1-2 with a double, three RBIs, two walks and two runs scored. Lead off hitter Owen Morgan, (2016, Hernando, FL) also had a nice game offensively, hitting two singles, driving in one run and scoring two runs. Brad Ellis, (2017, Hernando, FL) pitched a complete game, allowing three runs, two earned, on seven hits and struck out five. 
Jake Bates, (2015, Columbia, FL) led the North Florida offense with two hits, a double and a single. Lead off hitter Eric Shine, (2015, Robert E. Lee, FL) had two singles and a run scored. Derrick Gardner, (2015, Englewood, FL) had a good outing on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings allowing no hits, one unearned run and struck out three of the four batters he faced.

SWFL 17U Grey defeated the Florida Pokers Upperclass Carolina 6-2 to stay undefeated in pool play in the 17U Florida State Championship. 
Jacob Silverstein, (2015, Seminole, FL) led the SWFL offense going 2-3 with a double, a single and one RBI. Andrew Abbot, (2015, Alonso, FL) also had two hits and one RBI to add to the offensive production. Milton Figuerora, (2015, Wharton, FL) pitched 5.1 innings, only allowing one run on three hits while striking out three to earn the win. 
Manny Pantaleon, (2015, JP Taravella, FL) led the Florida Pokers Upperclass Carolina offense with two singles, one RBI and a stolen base. Trent Massaro, (2015, Western, FL) pitched 2.1 innings, allowing two hits and three unearned runs while striking out three.

The Naples Bombers do just enough to beat The Edge 2-0. Reney Martiniz (2015, Naples, FL) pitched 6 strong innings for Naples and picked up the win. He allowed no earned and just 2 hits, while striking out 6. He also led the offense going 2-3.

Cameron Coffey, (2015, Williston, FL) and Hayden Cano, (2015, Williston, FL) each had three hits to power the Gainseville Naturals to a 94 win over Elite Squad 17U TPX. Coffey had two singles, a double, one RBI and three runs scored while Cano had three singles to go with four RBIs. 
Malachi Mitchell, (2015, Gainesville, FL) and Tyler Moore, (2015, Williston, FL) each had one hit and two RBIs. Mitchell also scored two runs and had one double and scored a run as well. Sean Donovan, (2015, Gainesville, FL) had a good outing, pitching 5.1 innings and only allowed three earned runs on nine hits while striking out six.

Scott's Shutout Leads Aces to 4-0 Win

Johnson Scott, (2016. Atlantic, FL) pitched a complete game shutout, only allowing six hits while striking out three to lead the Galaxy Aces to a 4-0 win over the Beach Dawgs. Scott was efficient on the mound as he needed only 89 total pitches to get through seven innings. 
He received offensive run support from Bryan Stealy, (2017, Boca Raton Community, FL) who had an RBI single. Auston Smith, (2015, Santaluces Community, FL) had a double and a run scored for the Galaxy Aces. 
Sam O' Dell, (2016, St. Stephens Episcopal, FL) led the Beach Dawgs offense with two singles and Jake Westberry, (2016, St Stephens Episcopal, FL) added a double. Nick Runde, (2016, St Stephens Episcopal, FL) was equally impressive on the mound, pitching a complete game of his own, only allowing four runs, two earned, on five hits and struck out five. 

A's Select Uses 6-Run 6th to Win 10-4

After the Beach Dawgs scored two runs in the top of the 6th to tie the game at four, A's Select scored six runs in the bottom of the inning to win 10-4. 
A's Select was led offensively by Ozzie Millet who had two singles in three trips to the plate and had two RBIs. Lead off hitter Justin Fernandez also had a big game hitting two singles of his own, driving in one run and scoring two. James Lehr added two RBIs on a double. Frank Chacon had a strong outing pitching five innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on one hit and struck out two.
James Grant, (2016, St. Thomas, TX) was the offensive leader for the Beach Dawgs, hitting an RBI double. Caleb Eyre, (2017, St. Stephens Episcopal, FL) pitched four innings, allowing four runs, three earned, on four hits and struck out three.

Adrian Mayans (2015, Westminster Christian, FL) and DiAndre Amion (2015, Miami Southridge HS, FL) each went 1-3 with a single, one run and two RBIs.  Deyvid Silva (2015, Mater Academy Charter, FL) went 2-3 with two singles, one run and two RBIs.  Michael Schappell (2015, West Broward HS, FL) pitched three innings, giving up three hits, and struck out three, while showing good command, and good presence on the mound, and had a fastball that topped out at 87 mph.

Thanks to strong pitching, the SWFL 17U Navy defeated the MPi 17U, 2-0.

Parker Macphail (2015, Cardinal Mooney HS, FL) pitched a complete game, giving up just five hits and struck out six, in seven innings of work.  He showed good command and was around the plate with all of his pitches, and had a fastball that topped out at 86 mph, while mixing in a good, late-breaking 12/6 curveball.

Kenny Buzenius (2015, South Fort Meyers HS, FL) went 1-3 with a run and one RBI, and Tyler Koser (2015, Seminole HS, FL) went 1-2 with a run and one RBI as well, at the plate for SWFL.

The Miami Barracudas grabbed late runs that gave them the lead, and on to the win, defeating the South Florida Huskies 17U, 6-2.

North Florida Storm 17U Black was led by Rhett Willis's (Fort White, Fort White, FL 2015) hitting. He went 3-4 and scored two runs with a single in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.

Kevin Diaz (St. Brendan, Miami, FL 2015) baffled North Florida Storm 17U Black, striking out seven batters. Daiz allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks over four innings. Jonathan Cosme (Gulf Coast, Borita Springs, FL 2015) was hot from the plate for SWFL Prospects. Cosme went 3-4. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh innings.

North Florida gets comeback win

The North Florida Storm 17u Red scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning for a comeback 5-4 victory over the SWFL 17u Navy. After scoring 1 in the bottom of the first, North Florida say SWFL scored 4 in the top of the third. Then, North Florida had their big 6th inning to claim the victory. Justin Thomas (2015, Paxon School/Advanced Studies, Jacksonville, FL) picked up the win for North Florida in 4 innings of relief. He allowed no earned and just 2 hits, while striking out 1.

Connor Malt (2015, Bishop Verot, Fort Myers, FL) pitched 4 strong innings for SWFL. He allowed just 1 earned and 1 hit, while striking out 8.

JB Bridges (Paxon School/Advanced Studies, Jacksonville, FL) led the offense for North Florida. He went 2-3 with 2 RBI.

PBC walks off with win

The PBC Gameday Elite 17u scored a run in the bottom of the 6th inning to walk-off with an 8-7 win over the Gainesville Naturals 17u. Robert Valdez (2015, Jupiter, Jupiter, FL) hit a single in the bottom of the 6th to score the game-winning run for PBC. He finished the day a perfect 2-2 with 2 RBI and a run scored.

Robert Mucia (2015, Martin County, Palm City, FL) picked up the win in 2.2 innings of relief for PBC. He just 1 earned and only 4 hits, while striking out 2. Luis Besterio (2015, Cardinal Newman, Royal Palm Beach, FL) picked up a double, 2 RBI, and a run scored.

Jake Kennedy (2016, Chiefland, Chiefland, FL) led the offense for Gainesville. He finished 2-2 with a double and 2 runs scored.

Big inning does the job for Florida

The Florida Pokers Underclass Carolina used a 7-run 5th inning en route to a 10-2 victory over the Beach Dawgs. Jack Rathmanner (2015, West Boca Raton, Boca Raton, FL) pitched all 5 innings for Florida and picked up the win. He allowed no earned and just 1 hit, while striking out 5.

Equon Smith (2015, Haines City Senior, Dundee, FL) led the offense for Florida. He went a perfect 3-3 with a triple, a double, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Hunter Platts (2015, Charles W. Flanagan, Pembroke Pines, FL) went 2-3 with a double, an RBI, and 2 run scored. Garrett Hiott (2015, Pompano Beach, Coconut Creek, FL) also picked up a hit, 3 RBI, and a run scored.

SWFL does enough

The SWFL 16u Grey had only 2 hits, but still came out with a 1-0 victory over the A's Select. Kyle Babb (2015, Canterbury, Cape Coral, FL), a Florida commit, picked up the win on the mound for SWFL. He allowed no earned and just 5 hits, while striking out 4. Conor Roe (2015, Gulf Coast, Naples, FL) picked up the save in his 1 inning of work. He allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 2.

Alex Nodarse pitched great for A's Select. He went 4.1 innings allowing just 1 earned and 2 hits, while striking out 3.

Donovan Petrey (2015, Port Charlotte, Arcadia, FL), a Florida State commit, led the offense for SWFL. He went 1-3 and scored the only run of the game.
