5-Navy vs 6-White Game Highlights

2/22/2020

Adam Ebling (2021 SS, St Louis, MO) Showed a mature approach with present bat speed and strength. Consistently attacked the baseball with intent generating very loud contact. Also impressed on the mound featuring an electric fastball that topped at 91 mph.

Tanner Pierce (2023 SS, Kennett, MO) Utilized a balanced approach with a repeatable barrel plane. Showed a knack for finding the barrel collecting two hits in game actions. On the mound the 2023 grad showed very good command for each offering. Primarily looked to work ahead with fastball topping at 84 mph.

Elijah Tiznado (2021 OF, St Louis, MO) Showed a naturally leveraged barrel plane that created good backspin off the barrel. Flashed good strength at contact when on time and squared.

Daniel Flier (2022 OF, Creve Coeur, MO) Displayed an athletic delivery and showed good arm speed through extension from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball generated good downhill plane through the zone topping at 85 mph.

Braydon Quintana (2022 C, Fort Wayne, IN) Displayed good feel for the barrel throughout the zone with a line drive approach. Showed a knack for finding the barrel and consistently produced sharp contact.

Ryan Stevens (2023 SS, Eureka, MO) Showed athleticism in the box and displayed quick hands through the zone. Collected two sharp base hits in game actions.

Jack DuMont (2022 LHP, Wildwood, MO) Showed a loose arm actions with a fastball that generated good run to arm side, topped at 82 mph. Also displayed good feel for off speed producing weak contact and swings and misses.


3-Green vs 4-Maroon Game Highlights

Elliot Krewson (2021 SS, Chesterfield, MO) The 2021 grad flashed athletic actions both at the plate and defensively. Krewson utilizes a high contact approach that allows for consistent hard contact.

Kaden Byrne (2021 C, Chesterfield, MO) The 2021 grad showed good strength in his swing with natural leverage. Generated very tight back spin off the barrel when squared.

Ryan Snell (2022 OF, Naperville, IL) The 2020 grad showed present bat speed through the zone with solid strength at contact. Shows the ability to drive the ball to the gaps with ease.

Benjamin Ayala (2022 RHP, Elkhorn, NE) The 2022 grad showed a lean, athletic frame on the mound. Released from a compact three-quarters arm slot generating good whip through extension. Fastball topped at 87 mph generating heavy actions through the zone.

Trevor Moore (2022 RHP, Golden, CO) Created heavy downhill tilt with fastball that topped at 90 mph. Consistently located to the bottom quadrants of the zone and over powered hitters. Flashed harder run to arm side when working 86-88 mph.

Cole Askew (2021 SS, Topeka, KS) Impressed on the mound utilizing a natural cutting fastball that topped at 86 mph. Looked to aggressively attack hitters and induced weak contact.

Carter Jenkins (2022 3B, Branson, MO) Jenkins displayed good barrel control through the zone with the ability to work to all fields when balanced. Consistently repeated a line drive barrel plane while collecting two hits in game action.

Nolan Self (2021 C, Sikeston, MO) The 2021 catcher shows good balance at the plate with present strength through the zone. Shows the ability to consistently deliver the barrel through the zone on time while generating power at contact.

Aidan Clancy (2021 RHP, Fenton, MO) The 2021 grad showed good arm speed through extension while releasing from a three-quarters arm slot, topped at 86 mph. Shows developing feel for the edges of the plate but was able to generate weak contact when locating down in the zone.

Nathan Schlaiss (2020 RHP, Crystal Lake, IL) The Crystal Lake native generated hard, natural sink to the bottom of the zone with a fastball that topped at 87 mph. Flashed developing feel for a 9/6 slider that showed sharper tilt.


Batting Practice Highlights

2/22/2020

Luc Fuller (2021 C, Chesterfield, MO) showcased a line drive barrel plane and quick hands to the ball on Saturday, consistency impacting the ball and repeating the swing well. Fuller also flashed some thump to the pull-side in his round.

Quince Venghaus (2021 OF, Dardenne Prairie, MO) has a simple swing that he executes with plenty of consistency, driving balls back through the middle of the field. Venghaus gets to a good power position and can really impact the ball.

Payton Allen (2021 SS, Rogers, AR) put together one of the louder rounds of batting practice on Saturday, showcasing quick hands and plenty of power potential from the right side. The Kansas commit swings with intent to drive the ball and works a gap-to-gap approach. 

Brock Daniels (2021 SS, St Louis, MO) hammered balls from the left-side of the plate on Saturday, showcasing a naturally lifted barrel plane and advanced bat-to-ball skills. The Oklahoma commit lines balls to all fields and flashes some pull-side power as well. 

Nathan McFall (2021 C, Mahomet, IL) put his high-level bat speed on display Saturday, driving balls back through the box and showcasing some jump off the barrel. The Western Carolina commit stays compact at the plate with a line drive barrel plane.

Kaden Byrne (2021 C, Chesterfield, MO) repeats a high-energy swing with consistency, driving the ball and showcasing tremendous power to the pull-side. The junior stays slightly crouched at load and has a clean shift to contact that allows for consistent timing to the ball. 

Jalen Martinez (2020 OF, Clive, IA) executed a high-contact approach with consistency on Saturday, driving the ball back through the box with present bat speed. The Iowa Central CC commit stays simple and direct to the ball while incorporating the lower half well.

Sam McAleer (2022 C, Leawood, KS) flashed some thump to the pull-side on Saturday, elevating with consistency and swinging with intent to impact the ball. The sophomore has excellent power potential and will continue to improve as the frame continues to mature.

Brysen Nepute (2023 OF, Weldon Spring, MO) put together an excellent round of batting practice, impacting the ball with consistency and showing the ability to impact the ball to the pull-side. Nepute is at his best when executing to the middle of the field with a line drive barrel plane. 

Nolan Self (2021 C, Sikeston, MO) has the raw strength to drive the ball with consistency, taking his hands to the ball well and staying really strong at the point of contact. Self executes a middle of the field to pull-side approach and flashes some good power when on time and squared. 

Nick Walker (2021 SS, St Louis, MO) showcases present bat speed and a smooth left-handed stroke in batting practice, repeating well and executing a high-contact approach. Walker has a line drive barrel plane and rips line drives back through the middle of the field.

Adam Ebling (2021 SS, St Louis, MO) had one of the louder rounds of batting practice, showcasing a line drive barrel plane and a direct path to contact. Ebling has easy bat speed and swings with intent to drive the ball to all fields.

Elijah Tiznado (2021 OF, St Louis, MO) executes a middle of the field to pull-side approach, repeating the swing well and flashing some power when on time and squared. Tiznado has some quickness to the hands with a direct path to contact. 

Jacob Frost (2021 1B, Saint Louis, MO) shows big power to the pull-side, getting on-plane and on-time early. Frost drive the ball with consistency and flashes big-time power potential that will play as the frame continues to mature and develop. 

Tripp Johns (2023 3B, Chesterfield, MO) was another left-handed hitter to drive the ball to the pull-side Saturday. Johns has a strong frame and uses the lower half well to elevate the ball with consistency while finding the barrel repeatedly.

Lee Allen Jr. (2021 SS, Kansas City, MO) The Kansas City native displayed a smooth, repeatable line drive barrel plane. Collected two hits in for trips to the plate.

Luc Fuller (2021 C, Chesterfield, MO) Displayed a quick, compact path to contact with good feel for the barrel. Consistently created sharp contact picking up two hits.

Rice Whitaker (2022 3B, Omaha, NE) The Omaha native showed a mature approach at the plate with the barrel control to consistently work to all fields. Collected two hits in four trips to the plate.

Austin Gast (2021 3B, Cape Girardeau, MO) Gast showed good strength at contact with a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Ball jumped off his barrel with authority when squared.

Ean Compton (2022 LHP, Princeton, IL) Compton utilized a balanced, fluid delivery. Displayed good feel for each edge of the plate with fastball topping at 83 mph. The 2022 grad also showed good feel for his breaking ball in the mid to upper 60's.

Carter Monke (2021 RHP, Mount Olive, IL) Monke displayed a quick arm through extension while releasing from an extended three-quarters slot. Fastball generated solid riding life through the zone up to 84 mph.

Nathan Rogalski (2023 LHP, Oklahoma City, OK) The 2023 grad displayed very good pitchablity on the mound with solid command of each offering. Fastball created natural cut to glove side up to 84 mph and consistently landed his slider and changeup offering to the bottom quadrants of the zone.

Brock Daniels (2021 SS, St Louis, MO) Daniels showed a smooth, clean barrel plane to contact. The 2021 grad consistently struck the baseball with authority while employing a high contact approach.

Quinn Duffy (2023 C, Orland Park, IL) Duffy utilized a mature approach at the plate with solid barrel control to all parts of the zone. The 2023 grad collected two hits in three trips to the plate.

Camden Jordan (2021 OF, Carmel, IN) Jordan displayed quick hands through the zone while good strength when squared. Ball jumps off the barrel with authority to both gaps.

Connor Carson (2020 RHP, Overland Park, KS) The 2020 grad consistently repeated his delivery allowing for excellent command to the edges of the plate. Carson's fastball topped at 87 mph while generating late, heavy life to arm side.

Parker Johnson (2021 RHP, Breese, IL) Johnson utilized an athletic delivery with solid arm whip through extension. Ball exploded out of his hand producing heavy action to the plate with occasional arm side run up to 87 mph.

Matthew Haley (2021 SS, Fenton, MO) Impressed while on the mound showing a loose, extended three-quarters arm slot. Fastball jumped on hitters through the zone topping at 88 mph. Flashed solid tilt with a slider that generated late sweep to glove side in the mid 70's.
