Skills Competition Information
SKILLS COMPETITION DETAILS: The overall objective of the skills competition is to have every player on each team participate and enjoy the social interaction of this tremendous event. Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd in each age division in each skills competition. These awards will be presented @ the field where contest is held at the time of the event!

Round The Horn- (5 Players) (Team Event) Five (5) players from each team will be allowed to participate. The players will take their positions in the infield (1B, 2B, 3B, SS, C). The catcher will start the event (when a thrown ball is caught by the catcher time will start). The catcher will throw to third baseman, third-baseman throws to second baseman, second baseman throws to shortstop, shortstop throws to first-baseman and first-baseman throws to catcher. The time will start when the catcher throws and time will stop when the catcher receives the throw from the first-baseman. All Fielders  MUST stay in the appropriate/marked area when receiving/throwing the ball. ANY DROPPED BALLS OR BAD THROWS ARE CONSIDERED LIVE AND TIME WILL KEEP RUNNING! One Practice Round should occur for all Teams, then 2 Times will be recorded with the best time between the 2 times recorded.

Team Base Running (8 Players) Teams will consist of (8) eight players. (4) Four at second base and (4) Four at home plate. Teams will receive two (2) attempts. Players may not lead off! Players will run a relay style race. The first runner from Home Plate will take off and the clock will start. When that player touches second base and hands off (transfers) the baseball, the first player at 2nd base will take off from behind the base and wait for the previous runner to cross in front of him touching second base before he will leave his spot. When the player from second going home touches home plate and hands off (transfers) the baseball, the next player will take off from home plate. When the last player touches home plate, the clock will stop. We require that the next player running start behind the base or in the right handed batter’s box so that there is no question if the player left early.
