Initial M-A 9u Regional Rankings

There is a lot of chatter going on in the Mid Atlantic about PG Super25, which is the region’s new tournament program.  All amateur baseball teams will have the opportunity to become the No. 1 team in their region and represent that region in the Perfect Game Super25 National Championship.  The Perfect Game Super25 mission is simply to keep baseball a "Team Sport" for decades to come.  By keeping teams together from the qualifying tournaments, through the regional tournaments and onto the championships, the Perfect Game Super25 emphasizes team commitment, integrity, chemistry and the reward of winning as a team.  By bringing the region together we want new teams to see new faces and create new matchups that were not created before.  With that said, the Mid Atlantic region is proud to announce the inaugural 9U pre-season rankings and honorable mentions.

Favorite: Go Wags Crusaders

This squad has all the makings of a region representative for the Super25 National Championship.  Kyle Wagner’s organization is always strongly represented wherever they go.  They have the top pre-season ranking, so they will have a target on their back.

John McAdams’ Projected Region Representative: CP Stars

I am going with the programs storied success in younger age groups here. Team commitment goes a long way with this program. A talent-laden roster with their usual strength on the pitching mound, leads me to believe this new tournament program will be no different.

Gary Wilson’s Projected Region Representative: Beaver Valley Red

Beaver Valley Red and Brian Smith are always in the running of every tournament they play in.  I have seen this program compete and have success for years and I have no doubt that they will succeed this year as well.

Impact Matchup: #6 Tri-State Arsenal vs. #4 White Marsh Warriors

We are already looking forward to seeing Tri-State Arsenal and White Marsh Warriors matchup in the 9U regional on May 31-June 1.  These two teams are in the pre-season top 10 and will matchup against each other very nicely throughout the season.

Richard Cruz Iii (2028, Chandler, Ariz.) has had a good weekend offensively, driving balls to the gaps with consistency. The barrel accuracy and fast hands stand out as the swing is super direct to contact and he can whip it with consistency. It’s a solid package of offensive tools that give upside at the middle infield position.    ‘28 OF Thomas Shank (CO) comes thru again with an RBI knock to secure the run rule. Really moves the barrel around w/ excellent B2B. #WWBAWorlds @PG_FourCorners https://t.co/22TfZij9ZV pic.twitter.com/lEFBce5Zii — Perfect Game Scout (@PG_Scouting) October 3, 2026 Thomas Shank (2028, Castle Pines, Colo.) had two more hits during the 8am slot and continues to shine in terms of the hit tool. He’s an athletic outfielder with a really pretty stroke that projects nicely. It’s an extremely accurate barrel and Shank showed off...

Gage McRae (‘27 NC) obliterates this ball well over the LF wall and into the top of the trees for a solo shot💣 evident power tool being put on display from the @PG_Uncommitted prospect #WWBAWorlds@PG_Coastal https://t.co/AFKGSrGz8n pic.twitter.com/RbwgsUK2yi — Perfect Game Scout (@PG_Scouting) October 2, 2026 Gage McRae (2027 Mount Gilead, NC) certainly put his name in the conversation for longest HR during Underclass Opening Day, as the uncommitted catching prospect finished his night by simply demolishing a moonshot into the trees well above the LF wall at Fort Myers High School. Strength is clear for the coastal kid standing at 6-foot, 195 pounds with power generated from the lower half. Starting from a slightly crouched, quiet base, McRae displays dangerous barrel whip and to say he impacts it with authority would be an understatement. It’s safe to say he can put...

Spun sharp breaking balls with distinct shapes including a couple sliders north of 3000 RPM. There’s a...
