The first group of state champions have begun to be crowned and it has led to the most movement of any update to date this season. The biggest mover was North Florida Christian, who knocked off previous No. 4 Coral Springs Christian Acadmy 1-0 in the semifinals before taking out former No. 27 Orangewood Christian to win the Florida 3A State Championship. The Sands brothers came up big for North Florida Christian, as 2014 LHP Carson Sands pitched them into the finals with a complete game shutout of Coral Springs Christian, and 2015 RHP Cole Sands tossed four scoreless innings in the come from behind championship game victory. NFC moves all the way up to No. 8.

Another impressive state championship run that earned a big jump was previously unranked South Dade (Fla.), who captured the 8A Florida State Championship and was rewarded with the No. 20 spot in this week's update.

While the least surprising result of the week on the national stage, it is perhaps the most consequential; top ranked Barbe (La.) captured the Louisiana 5A State Championship. Barbe finished the season 39-2 after cruising through the playoffs by sweeping both best of three series' and winning the title game with a decisive 7-1 victory. The Buccaneers won every game since March 14 and both losses came in stretches where they won four of the five games they played within that particular week. While they will have to wait a few weeks before finding out if they will be officially crowned PG's 2014 National Champion, they have done their part and have very little threats to the title.

Louisiana also crowned it's 4A state champion, St. Thomas More captured the title after beginning the season in the National top 50, they have bounced in and out over the course of the season and return to the top 50 at No. 26 on the merit of capturing the state championship with a 31-5 season.

Salisbury Prep (Conn.) finished off a championship run in their own area, and finished the season with just a single loss that came at the PG High School Showdown in Florida, landing at No. 12.

Puyallup (Wash.) continued their undefeated season by stolling through the district playoffs with ease and enter the state tournament with a 24-0 mark and come in ranked No. 13 in the nation.

Other new additions this week include: No. 38 Corpus Christi Carroll (Texas), No. 39 Southlake Carroll (Texas), No. 45 Whitewater (Ga.) and No. 49 Oak Grove (Miss.)
