Coral Springs Christian's 3-0 week to end the regular season sees them continue to climb the national rankings, coming in at No 6 this week while ace RHP Touki Toussaint continues to make his case to climb up draft boards. The Cavs wrap up the regular season with a five game winning streak.
The top ten added a pair of new representatives this week in Cypress Ranch (Texas) and Harvard-Westlake (Calif), as both teams returned to the top ten after opening the season there and spending significant time at the top before slipping a bit in recent weeks Cypress Ranch becomes the top ranked team in Texas again, after Pearland fell from No. 3 to No. 10 this week. Defending National Champion Harvard-Westlake's climb back into the top ten makes them the top ranked team in the highly competitive CIF Southern Section, jumping ahead of previous top ten representative Huntington Beach following a two-loss week that saw them tumble to No. 19.
Puyallup (Wash.) is one of the few remaining undefeated teams left in the country among schools that play in their respective state's most competitive classification. The Vikings have gotten off to a 17-0 start and now find themselves in the top 25 nationally, moving up to No. 24 this week.
No. 30 Langham Creek got back on track and finished the regular season strong to capture the top seed in their Regional tournament, holding off hard charging No. 7 Cypress Ranch who swept them in a pair of head to head matchups prior to the last rankings update. Those two are joined by No. 10 Pearland and No. 47 Klein Collins as Houston area representatives in the national top 50.
The new addition to this week's rankings is No. 49 North Florida Christian.
