5 Questions With Tyler Matzek
Tyler Matzek was 16 years old, just a sophomore in high school. His father,Jeff, the biggest influence in his life, had throat cancer and was too weak to attend his son's ballgames. Outwardly, Tyler did not display his deep concern for his father. His inner feelings, however, were a completely different story.
This was two years ago.
"It's kind of amazing," Jeff Matzek said this week. "He handled it about as well as anyone could possibly handle it. I didn't know the depth of his concern until later on."
