Scott Frazier isn’t a newcomer to draft prospect lists. He’s a pitcher that scouts have had about four years to evaluate, and there are cases where that can be a good or a bad thing for a player. It’s been four years of analyzing his delivery, and four years of being able to examine his consistency and potential for future durability. From a scout’s perspective, it’s a great thing but it also allows for everything about a pitcher to be revealed, warts and all. There are players in every draft class that benefit from mystery around them, and it’s actually quite the opposite with someone like Frazier.
