PERFECT GAME ANNOUNCES TEAM ROSTERS FOR 2026

DICK'S ALL-AMERICAN CLASSIC AT CITIZENS BANK PARK

 

The rosters span 20 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Canada, with California leading the way

Jersey City's Finnian O'Loughlin gives the host region a player in the spotlight

Field includes sons of Hall of Famer Frank Thomas & MLB All-Star Brad Hawpe

 

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Wednesday, July 22, 2026) - Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced the Team East and Team West rosters for the 2026 DICK'S All-American Classic, set for Sunday, August 16 at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. The 60-player field represents the top high school baseball talent in the country and headlines Perfect Game's premiere showcase event of the summer.

The 2026 rosters draw from 20 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Canada. California leads the way with 12 players, followed by Florida and Texas with seven apiece. Georgia and Tennessee each contribute five players and Louisiana rounds out the top tier with four.

By position, the combined rosters include 19 infielders, 17 pitchers, 15 outfielders and nine catchers, including several two-way players capable of both pitching and playing the field.

Representing the region hosting this year's game, Team East outfielder Finnian O'Loughlin of Jersey City, New Jersey, is among the 60 selected from across North America.

Several members of this year's field carry well-known athletic bloodlines. Team East first baseman/outfielder Frank Thomas III of Sarasota, Florida, is the son of Chicago White Sox legend and 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Frank Thomas. Team West features right-hander Striker Pence, nephew of former Phillies outfielder Hunter Pence as well as outfielder Drake Hawpe, the son of former National League All-Star Brad Hawpe, who spent the bulk of his nine-year MLB career with the Colorado Rockies. And Team East infielder Chase Fuller of Tallahassee, Florida, is the son of Corey Fuller, who played 10 NFL seasons as a defensive back for the Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens. This year’s MLB Draft, which took place earlier this month in Philadelphia, saw 59 former PG All-Americans selected overall, with 16 of them coming in the first round, including six of the first eight selections.

The DICK’S All-American Classic anchors a full weekend of elite amateur baseball at Citizens Bank Park, marking the first time Perfect Game has staged an event at the home of the Phillies and the first time the Classic has been played on the East Coast since 2005. The weekend also includes the PG All-Star Game on Friday, August 14, and a Home Run Challenge on Saturday, August 15, before the Classic caps the weekend on Sunday, August 16 with a 1:35 p.m. ET first pitch.

Since its inception, the All-American Classic has stood for something bigger than baseball. Each year, the East and West rosters use the game’s national stage to raise funds and awareness for children facing serious illness, proving that the next generation of baseball talent can make an impact far beyond the field. This year, fundraising efforts will benefit Nemours Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s leading pediatric health systems, dedicated to providing world-class care to children and families in the Philadelphia region and beyond. As part of the weekend’s events, the players will visit the hospital on Friday morning, August 14.

As in past years, admission to the DICK'S All-American Classic is free and open to the public. Fans who can't attend in person can stream the game live via the PGTV app, Perfect Game's streaming platform.

We are excited to announce the first selections for the 2026 PG All Star Game from both the Perfect Game Junior and Sophomore National Showcases. The PG All Star Game will be held on Friday, August 14th at Citizens Bank Ballpark, the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, and will feature roughly 40 of the top players, predominately from the 2028 class with a few of the very best 2029s also selected. After four days of high-level competition featuring many of the top 16U clubs in the West, TPA National emerged victorious, claiming the 2026 16U PG West World Series championship at Riverview Complex in Mesa, Arizona. The tournament featured 24 teams competing in pool play before advancing into a single-elimination championship bracket. In Sunday's title game, TPA National defeated MTBA Dawgs2028, 8-0, to cap off an impressive tournament run. After battling through a talented field, TPA National put together another complete performance in the championship, combining timely hitting, quality pitching, and solid defense when it mattered most. Historic Lack of Arms Early On Going into the draft we knew that the pitching at the very top of the board was going to be light, but we still had 11 arms ranked in the Top-30 of our final board. Jackson Flora separated himself from the pack and looked like a sure-fire Top-5 pick going in and that came true. But following him we saw an all-time historic lack of arms taken. Flora was the only pitcher selected within the first 15 picks, something that has never happened in the history of the draft. There were only three pitchers selected in the Top-20 which is tied for the fewest ever in draft history. Inconsistent performances and a handful of injuries did thin the potential arms at the top of the board and teams clearly valued the bats over the arms early on, but seeing the lack of arms reach a historic low was a surprise. As the summer travel baseball season comes to an end, over 80 teams will meet in East Cobb, Georgia as they look to end the year with a victory and a trophy at the PG East World Series. The premier event will host 5 age groups of 14u-18u with pool play commencing the tournament on Friday, July 24th, with champions crowned on Monday, July 27th at East Cobb Baseball Complex. The 15u field will feature 26 teams from all over the southeast, including the No. 27 team in the nation from the 14u rankings, Home Plate Chili Dogs 14u Glozier. The Chili Dogs, who also played up in the 15u WWBA last week for increased exposure, have been a very solid team this summer, but are still in search of their first championship win of the season.
