Sanford, Florida (Wednesday, July 23, 2025) - Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced details for the 23rd annual DICKS All-American Classic, including rosters for both teams, broadcast information, community involvement and a rundown of the weekend’s events. Perfect Game’s premier game will see the top 60 high school baseball players from around the country take part in various events both on and off the field throughout the weekend of August 15-17 throughout San Diego as the game returns to Petco Park, home of the Padres, for the first time since 2021.

The rosters for both Team East and Team West are currently live at perfectgame.org and feature representatives from 20 U.S. states and Puerto Rico with California leading the way with 13 players. Headlining this year’s group is shortstop Grady Emerson, a 3-time PG Select Fest participant who is the top-ranked player in the nation according to Perfect Game, out of Fort Worth Christian High School. Several of the athletes have ties to current or former major league players and coaches, including infielder Jacob Lombard – ranked #2 in the nation by Perfect Game – son of former MLB outfielder and current Tigers bench coach George Lombard and brother of 2022 All-American Classic player George Lombard Jr.; righthander Joseph Contreras, son of former MLB All-Star Jose Contreras (who will also serve as a coach at the event); infielder Miller Sheets, son of former 4-time MLB All-Star Ben Sheets; and infielder Trey Ebel, son of Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel and brother of 2024 All-American Classic player Brady Ebel.

As the premier event on the travel baseball calendar, the DICK’S All-American Classic brings together North America’s top high school talent for a high-profile showcase broadcast globally on PerfectGame.TV and drawing MLB scouts and college recruiters from all over the baseball world.

With San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter as its backdrop, Perfect Game will stage a takeover of downtown San Diego with events throughout the weekend. On Friday, August 14, Perfect Game will kickstart the weekend with the PG 2025 All-Star Game at 11:00 am PT. On Saturday, Perfect Game will hold its annual Home Run Challenge at 10:00 am PT when the top high school sluggers will show off their strength. The final round of the Home Run Challenge will take place prior to the All-American Classic on Sunday at 3:00 pm PT. All on-field weekend events will emanate from Petco Park.

The weekend culminates with the DICK’S All-American Classic on Sunday at 5:00 pm PT live on PerfectGame.TV. Veteran baseball broadcaster Daron Sutton will be on the call, along with longtime scout David Rawnsley. The broadcast team will be rounded out with dugout reporter Hannah Jo Groves, who will be stationed on the field to get immediate reaction from players and coaches and conduct on-field interviews throughout the game.

In the tradition of past All-American Classic events, the participating athletes, along with managers Trevor Hoffman and Ryan Klesko, will have the opportunity to make a meaningful visit to Rady Children’s Hospital to connect with the patients and their families and bring smiles, encouragement and a sense of community. This heartfelt tradition is a powerful reminder that the impact of baseball extends far beyond the diamond.

Gulf Coast Edge has continued to build momentum in championship play this week, advancing behind a combination of timely offense, strong pitching, and contributions throughout the lineup. After grinding out a 4-3 victory over Canes American 14U to open bracket play, Gulf Coast Edge followed with a dominant 13-1 playoff win against Knights Baseball 14U National to secure their spot in the tournament bracket. The team features nationally ranked talent throughout the roster, but its recent success has been fueled by players embracing their roles and finding ways to contribute in key moments. Two players who embody that balance are outfielder Brayden Nims and fellow outfielder Nolan Richardson. Nims has helped lead the charge offensively as Gulf Coast Edge has advanced through the bracket. One of the most highly regarded players in the country, ranked No. 9 overall nationally and the No. 4...

Vincent Cervino

With a postseason run for the ages, the Oklahoma Sooners (43-23) took home the National Championship and naturally finish the 2026 season as our No. 1 team in the land.  It is the third national title for the Sooners, playing in their 12th CWS and making their fourth championship series appearance.  They add to previous national titles won in 1951 and 1994 and did it by taking the most difficult path of any team in this year’s tournament.  In the NCAA Tournament, Oklahoma took down national seeds, No. 2 Georgia Tech twice, No. 3 Georgia twice, No. 5 UNC twice, No. 7 Alabama and No. 15 Kansas twice.  This was the second time that head coach Skip Johnson has led the Sooners to the CWS Championship Series since 2022 and the first time he has taken home the crown.  The North Carolina Tarheels (54-14) was one win away from their first national title and finish...

The roster is loaded with talent, including six players ranked among the top 50 players nationally in the 2030 class, but the team’s success has come from much more than individual achievements. However, on Tuesday he had the two-way ability on full display in a dominant four inning start for the East Coast Sox 2027 Franchise. The 5-foot-10, 225-pound two-way player ran the fastball up to 95 mph and it comes out of the hand easy. He pairs that with a nasty curveball at 80-81 (2800+ RPM) and mixes in a firm changeup to left-handed hitters....
