For the first time all season, everyone across the nation would have to agree we have an undisputed No. 1 team in the land.  The Texas Longhorns (37-5) stand alone as the only program in the country that has yet to drop a weekend series.  They are also (19-2) in SEC play giving them a 5-game lead in the standings as they tied the record for best regular season start in league history.

After that, there was carnage up and down the poll as five of the Top-10 teams heading into last weekend ended up dropping their series.  With that said, the No. 2 LSU Tigers (36-9) won their dramatic series in Baton Rouge against now No. 11 Tennessee (35-9) who have now lost 3 of their last 4 SEC matchups.  The Georgia Bulldogs (35-11) clawed their way back to No. 3 after a hard-fought series victory against now No. 24 Oklahoma (30-13).  The West Virginia Mountaineers (37-5) break into the Top-5 at No. 4 this week as they are tied with Texas for the best record in the nation.  Meanwhile, the North Carolina Tarheels (33-10) are No. 5 this week as they have won 6-consecutive series in the ACC.

The No. 6 Oregon Ducks (30-12) are one of our biggest movers this week after they swept arch-rival Oregon State (32-10) who dropped to No. 10 in the ranks.  UC Irvine (32-9) is up to No. 7 this after they swept a previously ranked Cal Poly team and are running away with the Big West at (19-2) in league play.  Auburn (30-14) is No. 7 this week as they continue to find ways to keep their hopes of hosting a regional well within reach.  We also had two new entrants this week, both hailing from the ACC.  The NC State Wolfpack (30-12) makes their 2025 debut at No. 17 after their profound sweep of now No. 8 Clemson (36-10) and are back in the hosting conversation.  Lastly, the Louisville Cardinals (30-13) are No. 18 this week after they took down FSU (31-9) who drops to No 13.
