PERFECT GAME PARTNERS WITH CINCY FLAMES TOURNAMENTS 

TO EXPAND MIDWEST FOOTPRINT  

Sanford, Florida (Monday, February 24, 2025) - Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced a partnership with the Cincy Flames, one of the most prestigious high school-age baseball tournament organizations in the country. Effective immediately, all Cincy Flames tournaments will now fall under the Perfect Game banner, further expanding Perfect Game’s national footprint and solidifying both organizations' commitment to developing and showcasing the best young baseball talent in the nation. 

The Cincy Flames organization has built a sterling reputation for excellence, working with over 750 teams annually from across the United States. With a strong tradition of hosting elite-level competitions throughout the summer months, the Cincy Flames tournaments have consistently provided a stage for players to demonstrate their skills in front of college coaches and professional scouts. 

“We are thrilled to welcome the Cincy Flames tournaments into the Perfect Game family,” said Perfect Game CEO Rob Ponger. “Expanding Perfect Game’s reach in the Midwest has been a goal of ours and this partnership is a big step in that direction. The Flames’ longstanding commitment to excellence and player development makes them a perfect fit for our organization. Over the past 12 years, the Cincy Flames tournaments have been the largest supplier of hotel room nights in the Greater Cincinnati area, drawing thousands of players, families and baseball fans to the region each year. Area colleges have hosted numerous Cincy Flames tournaments over the years, including the University of Cincinnati, Miami University, Wright State University, the University of Dayton, Xavier University and Northern Kentucky University. Their season culminates in early August with the prestigious 15U, 16U and 17U Tournament of Champions, one of the most elite travel baseball tournaments of the summer. 

“This partnership with Perfect Game aligns with our mission to provide the highest level of competition and exposure for high school players,” said Jay Basil, owner of the Cincy Flames. “Perfect Game has set the standard for what defines youth athletics, and we play on the best high school and college venues in the country, so we are excited to bring our events under their nationally recognized brand.” 

Basil runs Cincy Flames tournaments with tournament coordinator Jake Oester, son of longtime Cincinnati Reds infielder Ron Oester. Among their alumni, the Flames count current major league star Kyle Schwarber as well as many MLB draft selections and countless college commits over the last 17 years.
