WWBA Midwest Championships

Brady Stewart (2026, Overland Park, Kansas) an athletic left-handed hitter that can play multiple positions and swung an impact bat all weekend long. Finished the tournament with 7 hits, including 3 doubles. Ran the bases well and instinctually, also finished with 9 stolen bases for the tournament. There’s present gap to gap ability here with barrel speed and plenty of tools to further grow into over the coming years.

Luke Hanahan (2026, Overland Park, Kansas) was in sync with the swing getting to the barrel and showing the natural leverage in the swing to drive the baseball all week. Recored 2 double and 2 triples for the tournament driving the baseball gap to gap. Always seemed to be balanced and in a quality hitting position each pitch. An already polished left-handed swing with plenty more potential to tap into.

Roy Roseman (2026, Olathe, Kansas) a switch-hitting catcher and corner infielder with some pop from both sides of the plate. Led the tournament with 5 triples and also drove in 6 runs. Swung the bat with intent this weekend. This is an intriguing player with the ability to switch-hit, catch and handle high velo arms and also be able to slot into an infield spot. Has the profile to develop into a run producing next level bat.

Milo Burton (2026, Overland Park, Kansas) among the top two-way talents in the entire 2026 class. Hit four doubles and recorded an RBI in every game played at the WWBA Midwest tournament. Showed quick reactions with some range and a strong arm at third base. Would easily profile at any infield position. Athlete that already runs well, has well above average arm strength and an advanced feel to hit. Stands out now, and projects to get a lot better in the coming years as well.

Blake Jay (2026, Shawnee, Kansas) lead off the tournament with a home run in his first at-bat of the WWBA Midwest tournament. Collected 5 total hits for the tournament and scored 6 runs out of the lead off spot. An athletic middle infielder that runs well, shows fundamental defensive actions and a quick release in the field and has a developing blend of hit/power to the profile at the plate. Impact player.

Luke Nelson (2026, Overland Park, Kansas) had perhaps the biggest swing of the WWBA Midwest tournament with a towering grand slam into the trees. Already a very strong 6-2/195 right-handed hitter that can certainly impact the baseball and drove in 6 total runs for the tournament. Run producing presence that can handle both corner infield positions and has shown quality stuff on the mound in the past as well.

Jace Feazel (2027, Pleasant Hill, Missouri) dominant over 5 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 base runners and striking out 9 at WWBA Midwest. A loose and athletic delivery with a live arm, comfortably sitting in the low 80’s and topping 85 multiple times. Present feel for a change up and plenty of potential to begin tapping into going forward. One of the youngest players at this years WWBA Midwest tournament.

Tucker Thompson (2026, Gardner, Kansas) another talented arm that really stood out at WWBA Midwest. Left-handed pitcher with a low slot and real arm speed topping out at 87 from a deceptive crossfire delivery. Showed feel for off speed stuff as well but the fastball quality really stood out and was dominant on its own. Real intriguing arm talent. Struck out 9 over 5 shutout innings.

Hayden Hubbard (2026, Lees Summit, Missouri) promising 2-way talent that is starting to take steps forward on the mound as a physical right-handed power arm. Up to 85 at WWBA Midwest with the fastball and showed feel for spinning a curve with consistent shape and depth. Competitor that can be an impact player anywhere on the field.

Brody Epke (2026, Wichita, Kansas) athlete with several developing tools that he showed at WWBA Midewest. Left-handed swing that gets the barrel on plane and extended through the baseball. Showed a connected swing with barrel speed through the zone and a real feel for the strike zone. Walked three times this weekend without striking out. Also stole four bases on the base paths. Looked real comfortable in CF and has the projectable athletic frame to make a big jump forward in the coming years.

Charlie Maaske (2026, Omaha, Nebraska) a two-way talent from this past week at WWBA Midwest. Showed fundamental defensive actions at third base and got to the barrel for multiple line drives. Sat consistently in the low 80’s with the fastball with feel for off-speed stuff throughout his outing on the mound as well. Has made a considerable velo jump over the past year on the mound and is now a definite name to follow in the Nebraska high school ranks.

Wesley Brown (2026, Kingsville, Missouri) a 2026 left handed pitcher up to 89 on the mound at WWBA Midwest. Results weren’t what he’d like them to be. But anytime you find a player that has a chance to be a 3-pitch mix 90+ arm heading into their sophomore year of high school it definitely stands out. There’s projection and repeatability in the delivery. There’s plenty of development ahead, but development that features undeniable natural arm talent.

Cordell Clinkingbeard (2026, Papillion, Nebraska) a versatile defensive profile as a catcher and infielder with the strength and physicality to profile as a potential middle of the order bat as well. Had a standout 2 extra base hit game at the WWBA Midwest tournament carrying the offense and showing gap to pop. Has a balanced swing with hand speed and put some good swings on the baseball. Has the traits of a next level hitter.

Sam Epperson (2024, Blue Springs, Missouri) the standout performer on the offensive side at the WWBA Midwest 17U bracket. Collected 8 total hits, including 4 extra base hits and two home runs. Has performed well at PG events in the past but this is the true standout performance so far. Solid 6-3/180 frame for the left-handed hitting corner infielder. A definite name to add to the list heading into his senior high school season.

Jack Naujokaitas (2024, Overland Park, Kansas) another player that showed some two-way potential. This is a quality all around player that can handle multiple infield spots, shows arm strength and collected 4 extra base hits at WWBA Midwest. Hopped on the mound and threw 5 shutout innings allowing just 3 base runners as well. Just purely an all around baseball player that performs in games.

Colby Deaver (2024, Blue Springs, Missouri) physical 6-3/220 right-hander that was absolutely dominant at WWBA Midwest. 3-Pitch mix with a fastball, breaking ball and CH; was up to 89 and generated a low of whiffs with the fastball. Overall struck out 13 over 6 shutout innings allowing just a single base runner. Real chance to be a 90+ arm with a 3-pitch mix this upcoming spring. Committed to Missouri Western.

Bryce Suiter (2024, Centerton, Arkansas) another premier pitching performance from the 17U bracket at WWBA Midwest. Up to 92 with the fastball and a sharp breaking ball. Towering 6-5/195 presence on the mound with athleticism and a quick arm working downhill. Struck out 13 in 6.1 scoreless innings on the mound this past weekend. Also a two-way talent with right-handed power in the box. Very intriguing uncommitted player.

Aiden Morarity (2024, Kingsville, Missouri) a 6-5/220 switch-hitting corner infielder and right-handed pitcher with next level ability on both sides of the baseball. Big strength in the swing from both sides with leverage and HR pop when he gets to the barrel. Stood out primarily on the mound this past weekend. Up to 88 with the fastball consistently sitting 85-88, with what looks like another velo jump in the future. All around interesting player with a lot of options and ways to develop into a next level impact player.

-Blaine Peterson

Evan Carey (2024, 2B, Plainfield, IL) had a great tournament. Carey gets his hands to the ball quickly and stays strong through contact. His lower half is balanced, generating good pop. While his upper half stays on time and in the zone for a long time. Carey tallied multiple hits including three for extra bases and slash line of .500/.500/.786. Uncommitted

Sam Epperson (2024, 1B, Blue Springs, MO) put his power on display this weekend. Epperson has a great approach. He knows the pitch he wants to hit and hunts for it. Epperson has a smooth swing. He is able to generate good power with a long, strong finish. Epperson had an OPS of 1.951 for the tournament. Uncommitted

Addison "AD" Miller (2025. SS, Lee’s Summit, MO) is a good looking ball player. He is slick in the field, with a good projectable glove. Miller has an accurate and strong arm making throws from the shortstop hole look easy. At the plate, Miller has a quick hand making the ball explode off the bat. He seemed to barrel every ball he hit. Maturity coupled with more added strength and athleticism will aid Miller well in the future. Miller drove in seven runs, scored nine more and stole six bases. Future is bright for this player.

Dawson Edwards (2026, 1B, Lee’s Summit, MO) has a college projected swing already. Edwards maintains balance and follows through during the swing. Sound swing mechanics aid in his power with more to come. Edwards has a great approach not wasting good pitches and has the ability to lay off pitches out of the zone. Kinley Kitchens
Article Image
Championship teams often reveal themselves when the game isn’t going their way. Performance Baseball 2028/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team did exactly that. Trailing Florida Burn 2028 Scout through four innings, the Brewers refused to panic. Instead, they relied on timely hitting, consistent pitching, and an unselfish approach at the plate, rallying a five-run fifth inning before pulling away for a 9-5 victory to clinch their spot in the semifinals. The comeback was fueled by contributions throughout the lineup. Six different players drove in runs, including two RBIs each from Aiden Capobianco and Cameron Massey, while Matthew Heredia, Parker Weston, Ethan Smith, and Aj Bonnette each added an RBI of their own. On the mound, Derek Wenzel set the tone with 3.2 solid innings before Ethan Smith shut the door in relief, helping preserve the comeback victory. Although the Brewers have had a...
