14u BCS Scout Notes: Days 1-2

Samuel Arrendell (2027, Richmond, Texas) was able to come out of the bullpen and get the job done for Dirtbags Scout Elite National Salazar 2027. He threw 5.0 innings with 5 hits, 3 walks, and 8 strikeouts, allowing just 1 earned run. He’s a taller left-handed pitcher with a higher-set waist. He throws from a higher slot with a quicker arm, and he hides the ball well. The fastball was up to 80 mph, and he held the mid- to upper-70s on the pitch. He showed a mid-60s fading changeup and had a feel for a curveball that he dropped in as well.  

Kase Nickerson (2028, Branford, Fla.) came on in relief for his team and worked up to 80 mph on his fastball. He threw from a higher three-quarters arm slot and had a clean move down the mound. The right-handed pit
