JUCO Top 25: April 20

For the first time in awhile, we have no new entrants into the Top 25 this week, though there’s a fair bit of movement within the ranks to be sure. Central Arizona (1) and Walters State (TN) (2) remained in the top couple spots, but that’s about where the stability this week ended, as we saw lots of movement up and down with the exception of those two schools at the top.

Earlier this season, Santa Fe (FL) jumped up and bit then-No. 1 Central Florida and knocked the Pats off of their perch. This past week, however, CCF got their revenge via four-game sweep over the Saints and as such vaulted all the way back up to No. 3 overall. LSU-Eunice (LA) finally lost but only dropped a single spot as they check in at No. 4, and Johnson County (KS) continues to play well, taking a sizeable jump into the Top 5 this week.



Florence-Darlington (SC) is down a couple spots to No. 6 following their first multi-loss week since very early on. Pearl River (MS) stays at No. 7, with Heartland (IL) jumping a couple spots to No. 8, Gaston (NC) likewise jumping up into the top 10 at No. 9, and South Mountain (AZ) joining the top 10 this week as well.

Wabash Valley (IL) continues to play well and has risen all the way up to No. 14, their high-water mark this season since very early on. Crowder (MO), similarly to WVC, had a bit of a struggle to start the season but have been red hot for the last month, they jumped all the way up to No. 18.

The current hot streak in college baseball belongs to Lansing (MI), as the stars at currently 30-5 and riding a 27-game winning streak as they roll through Michigan with no issues. They jumped from No. 25 up to No. 19 this week.
