Pitcher: Charlee Soto, Reborn Christian Academy (Kissimmee, Fla.)
 Soto was a talented two-way prospect coming into his senior circuit, where he put the bat down in favor of becoming a pitcher-only. He didn’t put his glove down, however, and is one of the best athletes on the mound in the country. Soto could likely still go pick it at short, but his low-effort delivery coupled with his athleticism makes him a strong pitcher fielder.

Catcher: Blake Mitchell, Sinton HS (Sinton, Texas)
 Mitchell has the best blend of defensive chops and arm strength on the catcher side of this year’s prep class. Mitchell shows very solid receiving and blocking skills with a 70-grade arm that has been into the mid-90s on the bump in the class. Mitchell isn’t only the best defensive catcher in the country, but might be the nation’s best two-way prospect as well.

First Base: Bryce Eldridge, James Madison HS (Vienna, Va.)
 Eldridge has massive size at a listed 6-foot-7, 222 pounds but also has really good body control and soft hands at first base. He takes good angles to the bag and can adjust his lead foot when stretching. Eldridge is one of the top two-way players in the class and has clear smooth athletic skill around the bag.

Middle Infield: Roch Cholowsky, Hamilton HS (Chandler, Ariz.)
 The recipient of the Rawlings Defensive Player of the Year at the PG All-American Classic, Cholowsky is a shoo-in on this team as one of the more sure-handed defenders on the dirt. It’s smooth actions with an excellent internal clock and a solid arm to stick at short. Cholowsky made shortstop look easy at points during this summer and the glove is very smooth.

Middle Infield: TJ Pompey, Coppell HS (Coppell, Texas)
 Pompey is a long and lean 6-foot-4, 185 pounds with plenty of quick-twitch athleticism and a really good glove. He made some ridiculously difficult plays look routine over the summer and his excellent first-step quickness and range give him huge defensive upside.

Middle Infield: Adrian Santana, Doral Academy (Miami, Fla.)
 Santana is one of the fastest prospects in the class, as he ran a blazing 6.16 second 60 at PG National, and that quickness allows for some serious range at shortstop. He’s adept at making plays in the six-hole, something that’s aided by his strong arm. The body control and overall range give him an excellent foundation of true shortstop tools.

Third Base: Aidan Miller, Mitchell HS (Trinity, Fla.)
 Miller played shortstop for a lot of games over the summer but has spent a good amount of time at third base in the past, a position in which he looks more than comfortable. Miller has the instincts and reactions to excel at the hot corner, controlling his base well and showing lots of comfort to his backhand. He’s got a mid-90s arm too, which will be a left side weapon for him long term.

Outfield: Drew Burress, Houston County HS (Perry, Ga.)
 Burress was covering an ocean’s worth of grass during his team’s WWBA World Championship run and is really adept at reading fly balls. He’s got a strong arm and is quick footed as well, but his ability to find the landing spot really allows him to time up dives and defend past his speed. Burress also has a strong arm where he can nail runners, and was no stranger to highlight catches this summer.

Outfield: Maxwell Clark, Franklin Community HS (Franklin, Ind.)
 Clark has been atop the national rankings for some time now, and the reason why is he does everything well and makes everything look effortless. It’s a true center field profile with plus speed and has shown a plus arm before. Clark takes long, confident strides to glide down balls with ease and has the look of a prospect who will be patrolling center field for years to come.

Outfield: Dillon Head, Homewood Flossmoor HS (Glenwood, Ill.)
 Head is another terrific athlete in this class, running a 6.22 at PG National and showing true center field chops all summer. He’s a really aggressive defender, not being afraid to go all out in either direction to make a big play. Head also has a low-90s arm and is another defender with big tools on this list.

Utility: Dylan Cupp, Cedartown HS (Cedartown, Ga.)
 Cupp makes everything look buttery smooth in the infield, routinely making the charge play at short look like he’s done it for years in his sleep. It’s excellent body control with a skill set and baseball acumen that could see him play any skill position on the dirt. Cupp also doesn’t mess up the routine plays and is as automatic as they come at shortstop.

He’s a pretty dynamic athlete who can do a lot of things well, but the bat is the calling card as he just lives on the barrel and has no problem handling all kinds of pitching. March 10 Perfect Game/Player of the Week:  Lorenzo Carrier, OF, Pitt  The Pitt Panthers (12-2) are off to one of the best starts in recent program history and their offense has performed as one of the best in the country.  For the season, they are averaging almost 12-runs per game and on their recent trip to the West Coast, Lorenzo Carrier went on the kind of hot streak that is hard to comprehend.  The 6-5/215 senior from Bear, DE was a one-man wrecking crew in their 4-wins last week, starting with the fact that he reached base safely in 17 of his 19 trips to the plate.  He collected 13 hits in 14 official at-bats, scoring 10 runs, with 4 walks, 2 triples, 4 home runs and he drove in an insane 19-runs.  Carrier has refined his approach, simplified his bat path and is creating massive power that has him putting up career numbers.  For the season, he is...

Collegiate Player Report Database While there will not be any new faces in this weeks Top 25, there is quite a bit of shakeup as the season, somehow, becomes even more unpredictable.  There were several teams in the poll that dropped weekend series and, in some cases, registered losing records in the last seven days.  There is sure to be more chaos this week as virtually every conference starts league play and the race for regular season titles begins.  The UCLA Bruins (13-2) remain No. 1 as their sizzling hot bats led the way to a perfect (4-0) week and they swept their first Big Ten series of the year.  As one of only two remaining undefeated teams in the nation, the Texas Longhorns (15-0) jump to No. 2 before they open SEC play this weekend in Austin.  No. 3 Georgia Tech and No. 4 Mississippi State both (14-2) hold their spots in the poll after both dropped a...

The 2026 college baseball season is starting to reveal its early storylines, and across the Division II and Division III landscape a few programs have already forced their way into the spotlight. From the blistering start by the Pittsburg State Gorillas baseball that rocketed them to the top of the rankings, to the steadily rising championship ambitions of the Taylor Trojans baseball, the national picture is beginning to take shape.
