Izack Tiger, RHP, Butler Community College

Tiger is a recent University of Kansas commit and top returning pitcher at Butler CC from last season. Led the staff last season in wins and ERA while also recording 94 strikeouts in 77 innings. The athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed pitcher showed a low-90s fastball at the JUCO showcase that had some arm-side run and carry through the zone. Was able to work the pitch effectively north to south. Complemented the fastball with a mid-80s slider that showed some late vertical break. It’s an intriguing athlete on the mound, with controllable athletic movements in the delivery, arm speed and the present stuff to be a force on the mound for Butler CC this season. With the feel for spin (both fastball and slider), both pitches had spin rates north of 2400 RPM on a consistent basis and the arm speed to tap into more velo, Tiger has the traits to be one of, if not the top pitcher in the conference in 2023.
