Zander Murray (2026, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.) dominated on the mound during his five inning one-hitter. The right-hander worked from an over-the-top arm slot with a long arm action to create good whip at present. He used his fastball, 72-76, topped out at 78 early in the game, to fill all the corners of the strike zone to run up counts. In two strike counts he would elevate the fastball to get swing and miss. He racked up eight strikeouts during the performance. Showed good control of the fastball mixing locations and showed good mound presence with a slender 6-foot, 145-pound frame.
