Xavier Valdez (2025, Stickney, Ill.) of Elite Baseball showed some great pitchability traits in his start Thursday evening. Valdez has a smaller, compact frame with agile moving parts. Valdez tended to pitch backwards for a majority of his outing, relying on an 11/5 curveball that was thrown with arm speed and located low in the zone. When using the fastball, he typically ran it inside on right-handed hitters, having a lot of success getting hitters out on their front roll and inducing roll-over contact or sawing them off for weak jam shots to the right side.
